A culturally rooted collection celebrating the Manasvini of Maharashtra- honouring the Marathi woman who is deeply rooted in tradition, confident in her individuality, and carries tradition forward with pride

PUNE: As the auspicious Gudi rises across homes in Pune, marking new beginnings and the onset of the wedding season, Tanishq, India’s largest jewellery retail brand from the House of Tata, launches a special campaign celebrating the Manasvinis of Maharashtra, a tribute to the proud Marathi woman who honours tradition while shaping its expression in her own distinctive way. As part of this cultural celebration, Tanishq unveils its exclusive Gudi Padwa Mangal Sutra Collection – Dor, rooted in Maharashtra’s cultural ethos and inspired by the spirit of the modern Marathi woman.

During this celebration, Tanishq has created the first-ever regional campaign film as a tribute to the modern Marathi woman. The film celebrates her everyday expressions of culture, pride, and individuality, while also bringing alive the Dor collection that reflects this spirit. The narrative seamlessly weaves in the extraordinary Dor Collection as a cherished symbol of pride, identity, and community, brought to life through the story led by renowned actress Priya Bapat, reflecting how the modern Marathi woman carries her heritage forward with pride. Through authentic cultural nuances and emotionally resonant storytelling, the film positions Tanishq as a brand that deeply understands Marathi cultural ethos.

Anchored in this cultural milestone, Chandra Dor, the Peshwai Mangalsutra stands apart through its royal, heritage-inspired design, deeply rooted in the grandeur of the Peshwa era. Characterised by intricate gold work, refined craftsmanship, and an ornate wati, it reflects the elegance and cultural richness associated with Maratha royalty. Inspired by temple and sunburst motifs and brought to life through intricate filigree work and warm antique gold craftsmanship, this piece forms a graceful, elongated silhouette that reflects heritage artistry with refined elegance.

The Dor collection also introduces a first-of-its-kind Banarasi enamel mangalsutra, bringing together delicate meenakari work, refined floral motifs, and vibrant enamel accents to reinterpret timeless craft in a contemporary form. Among its highlights is Kamal Dor, a striking piece featuring vibrant Banarasi enamel work with a blooming lotus motif, paired with a refined double-bead black chain that adds both elegance and symbolism to the design.

Additionally, the collection reimagines iconic Maharashtrian designs such as Tushi, Kolhapuri Saaz, and Shindeshahi Tode with delicate Glass Kundan, subtle meenakari, and intricate badroom work that blends heritage with contemporary style for the wedding occasions. Reversible Vajratik Haar & Tushi dual expressions in one piece, plain gold with nakashi detailing on one side, kundan on the other, combining elegance with tradition. The Nath, inspired by the Kolhapuri Saaz, was gracefully reinterpreted to celebrate Maharashtrian heritage. The peacock-inspired ear cuff with jhumka features Vajratik motifs, blending bold artistry with refined craftsmanship. It is a modern tribute to the Marathi woman, balancing tradition, style, and individuality.

The Dor collection showcases a rich interplay of Maharashtrian craft traditions and refined design details. It comes together across thoughtfully crafted wati and bead forms, celebrating the enduring symbolism of the mangalsutra. Each design is thoughtfully crafted for the woman who allows her culture to shine beautifully and, in her own quiet way, reflects both her individuality and her deep sense of community, which is captured beautifully in the film.

Speaking on the launch, Pelki Tshering, Chief Marketing Officer, Titan Company Limited, said, “In Maharashtra, culture lives beautifully through its women — in the pride with which they carry their traditions, the rituals they nurture, and the values they pass on every day. The Manasvanis embody this spirit with quiet confidence, preserving heritage passed down through generations while expressing it in ways that feel deeply contemporary. At Tanishq, the woman has always been at the heart of everything we do — she is our muse, inspiring the stories we tell and the designs we create. This campaign is our tribute to the Manasvanis of Maharashtra who honour tradition while shaping its future. Through such narratives and our designs, we celebrate the enduring spirit of women who preserve, reinterpret, and carry culture forward.”

Sharing insights on the curation of the collection and the design, Garima Maheshwari – Head of Design, Tanishq said, “While curating the extraordinary Dor Mangal Sutra collection, our inspiration was the modern Marathi woman who wears her culture in her own distinctive way. We looked closely at elements of Maharashtrian craftsmanship, such as Peshwai-inspired detailing and Kolhapuri artistry, and translated them into contemporary mangalsutra designs. From delicate enamel work and refined floral motifs to thoughtfully crafted wati forms and elegant black bead chains, every piece has been designed to honour tradition while allowing individuality to shine.”

On being the part of the launch, Actress Priya Bapat, who is associating with the brand for the collection, added, “On being the part of the launch, actress Priya Bapat said, “What resonated with me about this campaign is how truthfully it reflects the spirit of the Marathi woman. Our culture often lives through the choices we make every day — in how we dress, what we celebrate, and the traditions we continue. That is what the film captures so beautifully. Tanishq has always understood women beyond occasions; it recognises the emotions, values, and cultural nuances that shape who we are. Being part of a story that celebrates women as the custodians of culture feels deeply meaningful because it acknowledges how traditions continue to live and evolve through us.”

To mark the festive occasion, customers can avail a free gold coin with every jewellery purchase, up to 20 percent off on diamond value, and up to 100 percent exchange value on old gold brought from any jeweller. Available for a limited festive window from 14 March to 20 March 2026, customers are encouraged to make the most of these special Gudi Padwa offers at Tanishq stores across Pune.

PUNE: In a significant celebration of grassroots entrepreneurship and wealth creation, the UDYAMI Awards 2026, led by entrepreneur mentor and import-export expert Dr. Omkaar Hari Maali, felicitated 350 entrepreneurs from across Maharashtra at Buntara Bhavan, Baner, Pune, on Thursday.

The large-scale awards ceremony recognised entrepreneurs who have built sustainable and revenue-generating businesses, reflecting the growing economic influence of regional entrepreneurs in India’s business landscape.

Awards were presented across multiple achievement categories, including Hall of Fame, Udyami Lakhpati, Udyami Dashlakhpati, Udyami Crorepati, Udyami Warrior, and Udyami Game Changer. Dr Omkaar Hari Maali and Mrs Aakankssha Omkaar Maali presented the Awards.

A major highlight of the evening was the Crorepati Felicitation Ceremony, celebrating entrepreneurs who have successfully crossed significant revenue benchmarks, symbolising the emergence of a new generation of Marathi wealth creators.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Omkaar Hari Maali emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship as a vehicle for economic empowerment and employment generation.

“Entrepreneurship is no longer limited to metropolitan cities. Today, entrepreneurs from towns and districts across Maharashtra are building global businesses and contributing meaningfully to the nation’s economy. I am so proud of all the entrepreneurs who have built businesses ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹50 crore in turnover — many of them, starting with zero prior experience,” he said.

Adding industry perspective to the event, Mr. Hanmantrao Gaikwad, Chairman and Managing Director of BVG Group, attended as the Special Speaker and shared insights on enterprise growth and nation-building through entrepreneurship.

The event also marked several key announcements, including the launch of 24 chapters of the Federation of Marathi Entrepreneurs, aimed at building a structured statewide entrepreneurial ecosystem. The platform further unveiled Maharashtra Connect, an initiative designed to enable collaboration, mentorship, and market access for emerging business owners.

Dr Omkaar Hari Maali also launched his upcoming book Marathi te Millionaire, featuring 51 entrepreneurial success stories, in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Hanmantrao Gaikwad, his parents, and senior leaders of Udyami Maharashtra, including co-founder Mrs. Aakankssha Omkaar Maali, CEO Mrs. Dolly Ritesh Dave, and CTO Mr. Shivam Thakur.

The event was also marked by another important announcement — the unveiling of a new movie banner that highlights the movement’s expanding focus on education, inspiration, and storytelling within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Building an Entrepreneurial Movement

Dr. Omkaar Hari Maali founded Udyami Maharashtra in 2020, a movement focused on empowering Marathi entrepreneurs in the import-export sector. Since then, the initiative has trained over 10,000 youth, enabling many to establish businesses across Maharashtra and international markets, including Dubai, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.

Beyond training, the movement supports entrepreneurs in setting up export businesses with mentorship and operational guidance, while also conducting vocational programs for women and export training for manufacturing units across the state. Its initiatives have strengthened market access for farmers and small businesses, facilitated exports generating significant economic value, and led to the establishment of India’s first import-export cooperative society.

Guided by the inclusive principle of “To Feed All,” inspired by the vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. Maali continues to promote entrepreneurship as a pathway to economic self-reliance across Maharashtra.

The UDYAMI Awards have emerged as a prominent platform recognising business achievement within Maharashtra’s regional entrepreneurial ecosystem while encouraging first-generation entrepreneurs to scale sustainable enterprises.

In Dr. Omkaar Hari Maali’s words, “Our identity is not defined by words, but by the success of the entrepreneurs we have built!”

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND: The Auckland Marathi Association (AMAI) has completed an incredible 30 years of preserving and promoting Marathi culture in New Zealand. As part of the year-long celebrations marking this milestone, AMAI proudly hosted the Marathi Natyamahotsav 2025, a full-day theatrical festival held at the Green Bay Auditorium, Auckland.

Under the dynamic leadership of President Mr. Chinar Chitale and the enthusiastic support of dedicated committee members and volunteers, the festival brought the Marathi community together in grand style. The event featured four Marathi plays, directed and performed by members of Auckland’s own Marathi artists’ group:

Savlya

Tax Free

Khel Savlyancha

Sanjya Chaya

The packed auditorium resonated with laughter, applause, whistles, and emotional connection, creating an electric atmosphere. These plays showcased not just entertainment but also the richness of Marathi tradition, values, and everyday life, highlighting the community’s unity and artistic talent.

President Chinar Chitale, in his address, shared his pride and appreciation: “These plays are not just performances—they represent our tradition, our identity, and our love for storytelling. They reflect who we are and what we cherish as a community.”

He warmly welcomed founding members of the association, including the ever-inspiring Shri Uday Gogate (now in his 80s), Shri Hemant Joshi, and remembered with respect Dinesh Pradhan, Shri Dharap, and late Dr. Sudhakar Maydeo—visionaries who laid the foundation of AMA three decades ago.

Throughout the year, AMA has continued to celebrate every key Maharashtrian festival such as Ganeshotsav, Diwali, Gudi Padwa, Holi, Rangpanchami with great fervor. From cricket matches to badminton, chess, and carrom tournaments, the association blends sports and cultural heritage seamlessly. This year’s Gudi Padwa was even celebrated on a cricket ground, symbolizing tradition meeting contemporary life.

AMAI also proudly hosted a blood donation camp, celebrated Diwali with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, and witnessed the historic visit of the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu to New Zealand.

To commemorate this momentous year, the Association launched its annual magazine ‘ZunjuMunju’, a vibrant collection of event photos, member contributions, and community highlights. The magazine was inaugurated by founding member Shri Uday Gogate and his wife.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Chinar Chitale, who acknowledged the hard work of the organizing team, especially Devdatta Paranjape, Chaitanya Nerkar, Harshad Bandekar, Bhoopali Deshpande, Neha Revankar, Anirudh Sain, Aniket Khedekar, Anurag Jadhav, Rohan Metrani, and Deepti Zantye.

“Without this passionate team, none of this would be possible,” added President Chinar Chitale.

I thank our sponsors -Shanayaan Arts & CFI events. Also, thanks to Anuradha Mayadeo, wife of Shri Sudhakar Mayadeo, for their donation to the association.

Eminent music composer Ashok Patki was conferred with the prestigious ‘Sangeet Ratna Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of non-film music.

PUNE: “Independent music allows artists to express themselves freely. Therefore, Independent Marathi non-filmy music should be acknowledged as a startup and receive financial aid similar to Marathi films,” noted singer Vaishali Samant. She was speaking at the first-ever Marathi Indie Music Awards (MIMA) recently. The program was organized by Maharashtra Kala Manch and Just Collab, with Ajay Naik and Kaustubh Dabadage at the helm.

Eminent music composer Ashok Patki was honored with the ‘Sangeet Ratna’ Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable contributions to non-film music at the hands of Prasad Lad, Member of Legislative Council, State Government. The program was held at the Shakuntala Shetty Auditorium, Erandwane, Pune

“If Independent Marathi non-filmy music receives government financial aid, it will spread globally,” said Vaishali Samant. “We are passionate travelers in the world of music. This award has given us all a small shore to stand on today, and that’s a comforting feeling. The fact that our hard work is getting a platform is reassuring,” she added.

We will organize the next MIMA program in Mumbai, and I will ensure the Chief Minister’s attendance, Prasad Lad assured. He further stated, “Following Marathi’s recognition as a classical language, there’s been a surge in Marathi-related activities. In this context, we will submit a proposal to the Chief Minister within 20 days, seeking subsidies for Independent Marathi non-filmy music under Ashok Patki’s guidance.”

Ashok Patki reminisced about the song ‘Radha Hi Bawari’, saying, “Initially, the lyrics were different. Swapnil Bandodkar didn’t like it. He called me insisting I write the song. I tried to explain I’m a composer, not a lyricist, but he persisted. That night, the tune came to me, and I wrote the song.” Patki chuckled, ” ‘Radha Hi Bawari’ gave me the confidence to write songs.”

“In today’s era, education is readily available everywhere. However, values and cultural heritage are lacking. We learned music from renowned artists, but Ashok Patki sir instilled values in us beyond just education. These values remain with me today. One important value is passing on what we’ve learned to the next generation,” said Avadhoot Gupte, while accepting the award.

“We’ve been in this industry for over 25 years, but there wasn’t an award specifically for indie music. This initiative marks the beginning of a new journey for non-film music, and it will inspire and motivate the new generation of music composers and lyricists,” said Swapnil Bandodkar.

Noted singers-composers Avadhoot Gupte, Vaishali Samant, and Swapnil Bandodkar were honored with the ‘Marathi Indie Music Icon’ award. Additionally, Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Anand Bhate, and Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar received awards for Best Classical Vocalist, while Jeevan Dharmanandhari and Vivek Kajvekar were recognized for Music Arrangement.

Additionally, ‘Gaarva’ was recognized as the First Iconic Marathi Indie Song, honoring poet Saumitra and composer Milind Ingle. Also, ‘Aayushyavar Bolu Kahi’ was awarded the First Iconic Indie Marathi Show, recognizing composer-singer duo Sandeep Khare and Salil Kulkarni.

PUNE: To foster an inclusive and robust skilling ecosystem in Maharashtra, Honourable Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadanvis unveiled the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) platform in Marathi language on the occasion of Vishwa Marathi Sammelan 2025 at Fergusson College in Pune on Friday.

Shri Fadnavis, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Eknath Shinde and Shri Ajit Pawar, launched the Marathi version of SIDH which will enable professionals, students, and researchers to engage more effectively with valuable content, ensuring wider knowledge dissemination across Maharashtra.

By breaking language barriers, this initiative fosters linguistic inclusivity and empowers citizens with essential information in their mother tongue, as envisioned in NEP 2020. The platform will assist youth in skilling themselves in over 7000 skill courses that include Industry 4.0 courses, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Drone technology to name a few.

Shri Uday Samant, Minister of Marathi Language of Maharashtra, Shri Shrirang Barne, Member of Lok Sabha, Smt Neelam Gorhe, Member of Maharashtra Legislative Council, Sri Siddharth Shirole, Member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Shri Bapusaheb Pathare, Member of Legislative Assembly, along with Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD NSDC International and other eminent dignitaries from various fields graced the occasion.

Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, was felicitated by the Hon’ble Minister Shri Uday Samant, for his instrumental role in shaping SIDH into a pioneering initiative that is transforming knowledge accessibility. Shri Tiwari has been at the forefront of driving innovation, integrating technology with education, and ensuring that skill development reaches every corner of the nation. His relentless efforts have positioned SIDH as a model for linguistic inclusivity and empowerment.

Speaking at the ceremony and reinforcing the central government’s commitment to skilling and digital empowerment, Shri Tiwari said, “SIDH has nationally recorded more than 1.26 crore registrations in over a year. It is offering thousands of skilling courses, and with the unveiling of the Marathi version, NSDC is showcasing the utility of the platform to empower millions of Marathi-speaking youth and help them unlock their career prospects.”

In terms of registrations, Maharashtra is among the top five states in the country while in terms of user traffic, at 30 percent nationally, it stands next to Uttar Pradesh. With the unveiling of the Marathi version, the popularity and registration of the skilling courses and the platform will further go up. Marathi is among the 23 languages in which the platform can be accessed.

The most popular courses in the state include web design, cybersecurity, and kisan drone operator. Over 43,000 female users have enrolled in various online courses, with over 80 percent being under the age of 30. The top sectors attracting enrolment from the state include IT-ITeS, entrepreneurship, and electronics among others.

People learn more effectively in their native language, so the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, along with NSDC, has been working to offer skilling courses in local languages to maximize results.

“With the unveiling of the Marathi version of SIDH, we are trying to ensure that language is never a barrier to skilling. It aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the importance of regional language communication in education and skill development. We are enabling the youth of Maharashtra and the global Marathi community to seamlessly integrate into India’s employment and digital skilling ecosystem.” Shri Tiwari said, underscoring the significance of regional inclusivity and digital transformation.

SIDH is a comprehensive digital platform that has been developed to access skilling opportunities, career guidance, and opportunities both in India and abroad. Maharashtra is the largest economy in India, so the demand for a skilled workforce would be maximum.

To make the state a USD 1 trillion economy by 2028, a district-wise Skill Gap Analysis Report was conducted in the state in 2023 by the Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Department (SEEID).

The survey engaged with over 1500 industries and over 200,000 trainees across the state to understand skill gaps in traditional and new-age sectors and identified electronics, automotive, agriculture, BFSI, and IT/ITeS among the sectors for immediate intervention.

The 2023 survey also conducted a language proficiency of the labor force and found that the majority of the staff in the sample laid huge emphasis on the proficiency of the Marathi language. Over 95 percent of industry respondents expected the workforce to know Marathi, while over 83 percent Hindi.

Maharashtra being a hub for industry and commerce, this initiative will provide young aspirants with the necessary resources to upgrade their skills and integrate into the workforce efficiently.

The unveiling event included a video on the platform’s key features, demonstrating its user-friendly interface and potential to connect youth with over 50,000 industry partners and 5.5 lakh apprenticeship opportunities. The Marathi version of SIDH will serve as a bridge between aspirations and opportunities, furthering the mission to make India the skill capital of the world. Additionally, the platform will include industry-specific skill modules, certification programs, and employer-led training programs to ensure job readiness among youth.

First of its kind attempt to offer it in Marathi as per the NEP 2020 guidelines

PUNE: Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), a world-renowned pioneer institute of oriental studies, has taken one more step in enhancing its online platform ‘Bharatvidya’. In Maharashtra, BORI has received several frequent queries about the availability of IKS course content in Marathi. Given this need and demand of the student, BORI is launching a separate course on its online learning platform ‘Bharatvidya.in’ which will provide lecture courses in the Marathi language.

This was announced by Bhupal Patwardhan, Chairman of the Executive Board of BORI in a Press Conference held at the BORI Campus today. Mr. Pradeep Rawat – trustee, Prof. Pradeep Apte – Vice Chairman of the Regulatory Council, Dr. Gauri Moghe, Content Curator and Project Coordinator and Mr. Chinmay Bhandari &Mr. Mithilesh Kulkarni from the Digital Initiatives Team of BORI were present on the occasion.

Stating the objective behind this initiative Bhupal Patwardhan said, “We received a splendid response for some of our online initiatives undertaken during the pandemic. This prompted us to start ‘Bharatvidya’, a digital platform that can take the knowledge acquired by BORI over the past 100 years through its meticulous research work to the ones who value it. Currently, 14 courses are available on this platform and thousands are taking it.”

“As per the NEP 2020, a course of 2 credits on the Indian Knowledge System was made mandatory for undergraduate students. The State Government also issued the notification in this regard. So, for the benefit of the students we developed this course in English and offered it through our ‘Bharatvidya’ platform, which was well received and over 10000 students took this course up and completed it. Now, we are happy to launch this IKS course in Marathi”, Patwardhan added.

Pradeep Rawat said, “This course has been developed in tune with NEP’s guidelines to provide education in the mother language. This also underlines the importance of native languages in propagating the ancient Indian knowledge among the young generation and to inspire them to conserve this knowledge in today’s modern world.”

“This IKS program in Marathi has been developed as per the century-old tradition of BORI which gives importance to facts and evidence while undertaking any research project. The program will be accessible to all those who are interested in IKS at just Rs.1999/- per person with lifetime access to the content. For those students who wish to enroll and opt for these courses to earn the credit to be credited to the credit bank as per the understanding reached by the respective college of the student and the fees would be charged accordingly.”, informed Prof. Pradeep Apte.

While sharing some highlights of this program Dr. Gauri Moghe said, “We have included some of the most important subjects related to the Indian Knowledge System in this program which will be made available for the students through pre-recorded videos. This 30-hour program has a total of 27 sessions. Well thought and logical order of the sessions, use of graphics for better understanding and effective presentation will make this course enjoyable.”

“It has subjects related to the Veda, Upanishad, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Purana, Indian Philosophy, Ancient Mathematics, Ayurveda, Yoga Shastra, Art and Architecture, Temple Architecture, Agriculture and Food tradition and important Dynasties from ancient India. The sessions are presented by renowned subject experts. The evaluation of the course is done with the MCQs at the end of the course and the certificate shall be awarded after the entire course”, Dr. Moghe added.

She pointed out that this IKS program will not only help UG students to get the mandatory 2 credits but will also make them aware of our age-old rich cultural and knowledge tradition.

The experts whose sessions are part of this 2 credits IKS course in Marathi include Prof. Pradeep Apte, Dr. Mugdha Gadgil, Dr. Gauri Moghe, Dr. Vijaya Deshpande, Pranav Gokhale, Dr. Manish Walvekar, Rajas Vaishampayan, Dr. Yogesh Bendale, Dr.Girish Welankar and Dr. Bhagyashree Yargop.

Mithilesh Kulkarni from the Digital Initiatives Team of BORI said that a lot of Universities and large educational institutions are in talks with BORI for collaboration to offer this mandatory course at the institute level. Some of the reputed educational institutions and Universities that have already signed MoU with BORI include Maharashtra Education Society, MIT World Peace University, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Sri Balaji University Pune, and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.

NEW JERSEY: The GMG Excellence Summit 2024, hosted at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, left an indelible mark on participants from across the globe. This two-day event, designed to empower professionals, entrepreneurs, and academics, provided unparalleled opportunities for US-based individuals, businesses, and attendees from India, the European Union, and beyond.

President Anand Ganu mentioned “The event was exceptionally well-received. We were honored to have Dilip Chauhan Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs from Mayor Eric Adams’ office address the GMG Excellent Summit. He spoke about the various business opportunities available and emphasized the potential for collaboration between Maharashtra and New York City. The administration is always prepared to assist businesses from Maharashtra and GMG members in opening or expanding their operations in New York City. Additionally, Chauhan highlighted that this year marks the first time NYC schools will remain closed during the day for Diwali. He also commended President Anand Ganu and his team for their outstanding efforts in bringing this convention to the New York Tri-State Area. Deputy Commissioner Dilip Chauhan is heading the Trade, Investment and Innovation for NYC Mayor Office for International Affairs.”

Garje Marathi Global (GMG) is a California-based nonprofit that empowers Marathi professionals worldwide, with over 25 chapters fostering education, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship. GMG’s initiatives promote global networking and collaboration, as seen in the GMG Excellence Summit 2024, which connected professionals across borders and was recognized by the New Jersey Senate for its contributions to socio-economic development.

The summit featured industry-specific sessions, a startup Pitch Fest, and strategic MoUs, setting the stage for future collaborations and innovation. Plans for the 2025 summit are already underway, continuing GMG’s mission to uplift the Marathi diaspora.

Highlights from the Summit

The GMG Excellence Summit 2024 featured two full days of insightful sessions, workshops, and networking events. Day 1 focused on industry-specific breakout sessions, including cybersecurity, AI, and sustainability, offering participants deep dives into current trends and prospects. Day 2 was marked by a series of fireside chats, panel discussions, and interactive workshops that covered topics ranging from personal branding to the future of technology.

A key highlight of the summit was the Pitch Fest, where 13 innovative startups presented their ideas to a panel of investors and industry experts. The event also saw the signing of strategic MoUs that will drive future collaborations between US-based institutions and their international counterparts.

Looking Ahead

As the GMG Excellence Summit 2024 comes to a close, the impact of the event is expected to resonate well beyond the two days of activities. With a strong emphasis on building global connections and fostering innovation, the summit has set the stage for ongoing collaborations and initiatives that will benefit professionals and businesses across the world.

As GMG looks forward to the future, plans are already underway for the 2025 summit, which promises to be even more impactful and far-reaching. The torch has been passed, and the journey of empowering the Marathi diaspora continues with renewed vigor and commitment.
