The event, organized by Anjana Mascarenhas and Karl Mascarenhas of Diva Pageant, was graced by renowned celebrities Rohit Roy and Tanisha Mukherjee, who brought warmth, encouragement, and star power to the occasion.

A trained Kathak teacher, certified Yoga and Zumba instructor, and an Engineer by qualification, Abhilasha embodies a rare blend of discipline, creativity, and determination. She is also a devoted mother to a 7-year-old son who is on the autism spectrum—a role that has profoundly shaped her identity and mission.

“I wanted to do something just for myself,” shared Abhilasha. “As a wife, mother, and daughter, I fulfil my responsibilities wholeheartedly. But this journey was mine. I want to be an example for all mothers raising special children, to show that your child’s uniqueness is not a burden, but your superpower.”

Though she had never entered a pageant before and described herself as an introvert, Abhilasha embraced the platform with courage. “I was nervous and excited. It was a big stage, and every contestant was exceptional. But I reminded myself that I belonged there too.”

Abhilasha credits her son, whose unspoken encouragement inspired her daily, as her biggest source of strength. “He cannot speak, but his eyes always motivate me,” she said. She also expressed deep gratitude to her husband, parents, and siblings for their unwavering support. “And of course a big shout out to Anjana mam and Karl sir for their immense encouragement and perfect grooming”, she smiles.

Reflecting on her transformation, she says, “This pageant taught me the power of self-love. The grooming sessions, training, and the overwhelming respect and love I received from my family, friends, and community have helped me rediscover myself. I’m walking into the future with confidence, ready to explore new opportunities and make a meaningful impact.”

With her crown in place and a mission in her heart, Mrs. Radiance 2025 is poised to light the way for many more.

Nilakshi, who is a native of Amravati, credits her success to DIVA Pageants, one of the most reputed and safe platforms for married ladies to showcase their strengths and achieve what others may think is not possible. She also thanks her husband, Shyam Lohi, who has been her pillar of strength, and her mentors, Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas, who are the brain and the heart behind DIVA Pageants, for their constant encouragement and guidance.

The pageant had 45 contestants who were judged by a panel of 15 jury members on the basis of various rounds like National costume, Eco wear, Fitness wear, Resort wear, and Evening Gown. The top 6 in each category were further judged in a Q&A Round.

Nilakshi, who is intensely passionate about photography, believes it is the only universal language understood everywhere in the world. As a wildlife photographer, she loves to capture birds and nature. Her passion for photography led her to become a fitness freak, and she credits this to her husband, who has been her backbone.

Nilakshi’s journey is summed up with her favorite motto: Strength is how you shut down the voice in your head that says “I Can’t”.
