As part of this initiative, BVG India is developing the ‘BVG India Resort’, scheduled to be fully operational by March 2026. Spread across five acres, the eco-friendly resort anchors the Chandan Chowki eco-tourism project and is envisioned as a nature-led retreat centred on wellness and local culture.

Developed with an emphasis on low-impact and environmentally sensitive design, ‘BVG India Resort’ blends into its forest surroundings while offering modern hospitality amenities. The resort features multiple accommodation options, supported by recreational facilities, food and beverage services, and spaces for small conferences and social gatherings, catering to leisure travellers, wildlife enthusiasts, families, and corporate groups.

Under the partnership, BVG India is responsible for planning, designing, developing, financing, and operating the accommodation and wellness centre, i.e., BVG India Resort. This includes operation and maintenance of accommodation, facilities, and allied services, procuring all necessary approvals and permissions to ensure compliance, and marketing and promotional activity planning. The focus of the project is to promote a fresh experience to tourists at a location that would offer a wholesome package comprising wellness and wildlife.

Dudhwa National Park, located in Uttar Pradesh’s Terai region along the Indo-Nepal border, is internationally recognised for its biodiversity. It is one of the few protected areas in India where Bengal tigers and one-horned rhinoceroses coexist in the wild, along with endangered swamp deer and a wide variety of bird species. The park is part of Project Tiger, making the region a significant destination for wildlife conservation and eco-tourism.

The site offers ~375 meters of frontage along a proposed 45-meter-wide MIDC arterial road, and benefits from three-side access roads within the MIDC layout, providing superior internal mobility and routing flexibility. It is just 10 km from the upcoming Pune Ring Road and 11 km from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. This ensures direct, multi-directional connectivity to Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, and western Maharashtra, making it a high-access location with exceptional transport infrastructure. The site is also less than 10 minutes from the Talegaon manufacturing zone, making it an attractive location for manufacturers and suppliers looking to support JIT operations and near-plant inventory.

In 2025 YTD, Pune recorded approximately 7.4 million sq. ft. of warehouse leasing compared to 6.8 million sq. ft. for the same period last year, marking a ~10% growth. The Talegaon-Chakan belt alone accounted for nearly 70% of this activity, underscoring the corridor’s growing importance as a preferred warehousing destination.

Welspun One’s upcoming park will be designed with tailored specifications to meet the distinct operational needs of high-demand sectors such as 3PL, e-commerce, FMCG, automotive, engineering, auto ancillary, and manufacturing industries, making it one of the most differentiated and high-performance assets in the region. The master plan includes four planned buildings ranging from ~1 lakh sq. ft. to ~3.5 lakh sq. ft., offering flexibility for both high-throughput logistics players and industrial users with large-format space requirements.

A key design differentiator is the planned clear height of 19 metres, significantly higher than typical warehousing benchmarks. This will allow occupiers to maximize pallet positions, deploy high-bay racking and automated storage solutions, and handle voluminous or large-sized products with superior efficiency, thereby optimising both throughput and unit economics. The land is development-ready, with key infrastructure, such as roads, water, and power, already provisioned up to the site.

PUNE: A concept that can become a role model for other areas to follow, the IT Hub of Kharadi gets ‘Nukkad’, the first-ever organized hawkers park in the city. Developed by Panchshil Foundation, the park has come up at S. No.1, Kharadi, on Fountain Road, next to the World Trade Centre. It was ceremoniously handed over to the Pune Municipal Corporation today. Additional Commissioner of PMC, Prithviraj B. P. took the handover from Atul Chordia of Panchshil. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar also visited the project today.

Speaking on the occasion, Prithviraj B. P. said, “It is an interesting initiative. The city of Pune has over 12000 licensed street vendors. Street vendors are an integral part of the city’s economy, and a lot needs to be done for them in terms of providing them with good facilities and a suitable environment. We will explore replicating this model at more locations soon. We must look at giving an opportunity to differently abled and transgender people in such a project ”, he opined.  

Bapusaheb Pathare, MLA, Wadgaon Sheri, said, “Kharadi is developing fast, and such a project will add value to the infrastructure. We will take all possible and collective efforts to make Kharadi a model suburb. We will look for collaboration for developing reserved land parcels in Kharadi through CSR.”

Atul Chordia said, “We have tried to showcase a model by developing Nukkad by spending through our CSR initiatives. This model can be replicated by the PMC at various locations in the city of Pune, which has over 2200 plots having some reservations and are waiting for development.

The IT hub of Kharadi has created direct jobs for over 3 lakh individuals with an indirect job generation of more than 3 times. So, it surely needs metro connectivity to meet its current and future needs. If we are provided with the land by PMC, then we shall develop a playground and public park in Kharadi through CSR. Nukkad shall be maintained by Panchshil Foundation for the next 3 years”.

Nukkad is spread across 86,000 sq. ft. with dedicated vendor zones. It has 120 units comprising 50 open otta for fruit and vegetable vendors, 50 food units, and 20 units for essential shopping and services like a bakery, salon, and essential utilities such as car and bike repair, locksmith, and car wash, and also a potassium washing area for vegetables. The space also includes containers for florists, souvenir shops, newspaper vendors, and food trucks. Nukkad offers 50 car parking spaces, 150 bike parking spaces, and is equipped with male, female, and handicap-accessible toilets.

BENGALURU: In a strategic development, the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre  (IN-SPACe) and the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, have signed MoUs to accelerate the state’s rise as India’s foremost commercial-space launchpad. The MoUs signed include one for establishing a Centre of Excellence for Space Technologies in Bengaluru and the other for setting up a public-private space manufacturing park that will anchor next-generation satellite and launch-vehicle production.

The MoUs were signed by Dr Ekroop Caur, IAS, Secretary to Government (Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science &Technology), Government of Karnataka; and Mr Lochan Sehra, IAS, Joint Secretary, IN-SPACe, in the presence of Dr Shalini Rajneesh, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, and Dr Pawan Goenka, Chairman, IN-SPACe. The MoUs will establish the framework for the Government of Karnataka and IN-SPACe to collaborate and partner for the setting up of the Centre of Excellence for Space Technologies and the Space Manufacturing Park. 

Karnataka has a mature ecosystem across the space sector value chain comprising Government, private, and MSME players, including ISRO headquarters, space-related public sector undertakings such as DRDO labs and facilities, HAL, BEL, BHEL, NAL, and academic and research institutions. The MoUs will enable and support the state’s NewSpace ecosystem towards the national vision as per the Indian Space Policy, 2023, and promote innovation in the sector.

IN-SPACe, on the other hand, has been spearheading India’s space ambitions by enabling ease of doing business with the active participation of government as well as non-governmental entities. As the global space ambitions soar high, IN-SPACe is acting as a nodal agency to shape India’s growing space economy. This signing of MoUs with the Karnataka government aligns to give impetus to regional ambitions that club with the holistic national projections.

Dr Shalini Rajneesh, Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, said, “The MoUs with IN-SPACe mark a new chapter in Karnataka’s space journey, creating a seamless talent and value chain with the regulatory support required to compete globally.”

Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman, IN-SPACe, said, “State of Karnataka has emerged as a hub for new-age space start-ups and enterprises. The MoUs will bolster this ecosystem and support the state and country’s efforts in succeeding in the NewSpace era. We look forward to working shoulder-to-shoulder with the state to see more satellites, engines, and deep-space technologies developed and manufactured in the state.”

As the global space sector moves from agency-driven programmes to agile public-private partnerships, today’s signing cements Karnataka’s role as India’s launchpad for breakthrough NewSpace technologies propelled by government vision, private ingenuity, and an unrivalled talent pool. IN-SPACe, being the regulator of space in India, is driving core R&D and innovation to propel India’s growth. This MoU is another in line of IN-SPACe’s long-term vision to make India a space-forward economy, with the active participation of the states.

The state’s commitment to promoting sustainable tourism was recently recognized with the UNWTO Best Village award for Dhordo village, Garba dance enters UNESCO’s list of ‘intangible cultural heritage’ and the state is also now set to host the prestigious Filmfare Awards in 2024.

During the international and national roadshows, the Government of Gujarat engaged in discussions with leading global and national Tourism and hospitality sector companies. Several companies expressed keen interest in establishing hotels and resorts at prominent tourist destinations, including Shivrajpur Beach, GIFT City, Statue of Unity, and Sabarmati Riverfront. Notable agreements were reached during the Vibrant Gujarat roadshow in Bengaluru, including an Investment Intention signed with Wonderla Park & Resorts for setting up an Amusement Park in Gujarat. The proposed investment is estimated at INR 350 Crores, with a projected employment impact of 1,000 jobs.

Other international and national companies, such as Lego Group (Denmark), Creative Visions Media Production Company (USA), People of Culture Studios (USA), Vietravel Corporation (Vietnam), and Ramada Plaza (Chandigarh), also engaged in discussions to explore investment opportunities in Gujarat’s vibrant tourism sector. Gujarat, with its blend of tradition and modernity, continues to open its doors to the world, inviting investors and tourists alike to be part of its journey towards becoming a global tourism destination. PUNE: CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) has commenced operations for Phase 1 of International Tech Park Pune, Kharadi (ITPP-Kharadi). Spread over 1.5 million square feet (sq ft), the two office blocks in Phase 1 development of ITPP-Kharadi have achieved a leasing commitment of nearly 80% from large corporations such as 315 Work Avenue, Acuity Knowledge Partners, Bharti Airtel, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, NielsenIQ, PTEC Technology Solutions, SAP Labs, Sulzer, Tablespace, Whirlpool India, and ZS Associates.

Strategically located near the Pune Lohegaon International Airport, ITPP-Kharadi is part of Pune’s well-established IT corridor, Kharadi. ITPP-Kharadi is developed in two phases, with Phase 2 development of the 1.5 million sq ft office block expected to complete by 4Q 2023. Upon completion, ITPP-Kharadi will house over 30,000 IT service professionals.

ITPP-Kharadi, which is designed with green and sustainable features, has secured an INR 13 billion (S$231 million) green loan from HSBC India. ITPP-Kharadi is CLI’s third business park development in Pune, following the International Tech Park Pune, Hinjawadi, and aVance Business Hub, Hinjawadi.

ITPP-Kharadi has registered for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification, Platinum Certification by the Indian Green Building Council, and the WELL Gold Certification by the International WELL Building Institute. Its sustainable features include an urban farm, rooftop solar panels to generate renewable energy, LED and motion sensor lighting, EV charging, double-glazed facades with fins for energy efficiency, water-saving fittings, rainwater recycling, and organic waste converters.
