The ceremony was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Chairman of Pinnacle Industries and Founder & Chairman of EKA Mobility, who served as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Atul C. Kirloskar, Chairman of Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. and Chairman of the Institute’s Governing Council. Also present on the dais were Ms. Aditi Kirloskar, Vice President of the Governing Council, and Dr. T.G. Vijaya, Director of the Kirloskar Institute of Management, Pune.

Atul C Kirloskar shared his insights about the business scene in India, mentioning the role of start-ups and the inclusion of sustainability in every organisation’s vision. He spoke about the National Education Policy and how the Institute has embraced this change and is at the forefront. He extended congratulations to the graduates and the merit awardees of the class of 2025, while also thanking the parents for supporting their wards in their journey of excellence.

Dr. Sudhir Mehta, in his convocation address, shared his life journey from being an investment banker to starting seven companies ranging from auto to agriculture, to services, and sports. He spoke about what stayed with him throughout his journey—the spirit of learning by doing and learning by building. He also emphasized, sharing his journey building electric vehicles, that all success stories are riddled with ups and downs and are always a bumpy ride.

Further, Dr. T.G. Vijaya presented the academic report highlighting student initiatives and the Social Immersion Programme that was launched this year. She also touched upon the campus transformation initiatives and awards won by the institute.

Graduates received their degree certificates, while the outstanding students were awarded gold and silver medals. Domain toppers in Finance, Marketing, HRM, Operations, and Business Analytics were awarded merit certificates. Ms. Komal Moolchandani received the gold medal for being the academic topper.

MUMBAI: Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) proudly welcomed an exceptional cohort of participants into its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Management) (PGDM (BM)) programs for the 2024-26 batch. The cohorts bring together an array of academic backgrounds, spanning Banking and Insurance, Finance and Commerce, Arts and Humanities, Management, and Science, with approximately 60% being engineers. The diverse mix ensures multidimensional thinking and innovative problem-solving.

Prof. Renuka Kamath, Professor, of Marketing, and Associate Dean of full-time Programmes, welcomed the participants and said, “Make the most of your two years with us by building your capabilities.
