PUNE: WingManX, India’s leading community-tech platform for motorcyclists, is set to host the inaugural WingManX Awards 2025-26 on 15 February 2026 at Hyatt Pune. The event is an exclusive entry by invitation only and will be a historic first for the Indian riding community.

Positioned as a national benchmark for rider-led recognition, the WingManX Awards aim to recognise the grit, discipline, responsibility, and community spirit that truly define Indian motorcycling. This is the first time in India that riders and riding communities will be honoured at a national level for the values they bring to the ecosystem.

Built from a rider’s need and shaped by a growing community, the WingManX Awards celebrate individuals and clubs that quietly strengthen the culture of motorcycling across the country.

The awards will feature 20 curated categories, spanning individual excellence and collective community impact, which aim to recognise safety leadership, long-distance riding, women riders, and community-led excellence. Some of these include Guardian Rider Award, Long Haul Legends, She Rides Free, Club of the Year, and Safety-First Club, among others.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Nilesh Sane, CEO and Co-Founder of WingManX, said, “WingManX started as a simple idea to help riders find the right people to ride with. Over time, it became a larger ecosystem built on trust, responsibility, and community. The WingManX Awards are our way of recognising riders who live these values every day and shape India’s motorcycling culture without seeking the spotlight.”

Echoing the sentiment, Urvashi Patole, Partner – Community and Marketing, shared, “These awards honour the consistency, discipline, and passion that often go unnoticed in the riding world. Motorcycling culture is always evolving, and the WingManX Awards are designed to grow every year, celebrating riders not just for how far they ride, but for how they uplift the community.”

Dr. Sahil Trimbake, Co-Founder of WingManX, added, “Motorcycling is not just about riding skill, it is about judgement, responsibility, and the ability to look out for one another on the road. The WingManX Awards recognise riders and communities who set these standards through their actions, not just their achievements. By acknowledging these values publicly, we hope to encourage a safer, more accountable riding culture across the country.”

At the heart of the awards is the WingManX app, India’s premier community-tech platform built by bikers, for bikers. The app provides a structured digital backbone to India’s fragmented riding scene, enabling ride tracking, club management, safety features, verified rider profiles, and community discovery. Recent features that have been added include rider badges, live group location tracking during rides, and peer-based rider ratings to encourage accountability.

With over 80,000 app downloads and 500+ riding clubs already active on the platform, WingManX continues to redefine how Indian motorcyclists connect, ride, and grow together.

The WingManX Awards 2025-26 are envisioned as an annual property, set to become the most credible and aspirational recognition platform for Indian motorcyclists in the years to come.

PUNE: The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), the world’s first franchise-based Supercross league, is back with a bang! The much-anticipated Season 2 kicks off with the opening of rider registrations on 24th April, 2025 – promising even higher-octane action, new international faces, and the return of celebrated talent from across the globe.

Following a phenomenal inaugural run that brought together over 100 elite riders from nine countries and electrified fans across Indian cities, ISRL is rapidly becoming a sought-after destination for global motorsport talent and investors. Season 2 is poised to reach greater heights with enhanced ambition, a bigger format, and added star power, most notably with superstar Salman Khan joining hands with the league as the official brand ambassador to amplify its reach and visibility. With inquiries already pouring in from international athletes and a strong homegrown lineup raring to go, the stage is set for a thrilling new chapter in the ISRL story.

Eeshan Lokhande, Co-Founder, Indian Supercross Racing League, said, “ISRL Season 1 was just the beginning. With the kind of global traction and home-grown talent we witnessed, we’re entering Season 2 with renewed energy and confidence. Salman Khan coming on board as brand ambassador adds to the momentum, bringing his unmatched charisma to the world of Supercross. Our goal is to build a global mega-platform that gives Indian motorsport its rightful place on the world stage. We’re thrilled to welcome back many of our international riders and see an even bigger talent pool lining up. This is going to be one wild ride.”

Rugved Barguje, 3-time Indian National Supercross Champion, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Racing in Season 1 of ISRL was an unforgettable experience. The support from the crowd, the level of competition, and the chance to race on real Supercross tracks in India—it was a dream come true. The league has changed the game for Indian motorsport, making it more organized and structured, creating a professional platform for motorsport athletes to thrive. Season 2 is going to be even more epic, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Jordi Tixier, World Champion MX2 (2014), added, “Season 1 blew my expectations out of the water. The tracks, the fans, and the constant improvements by the organizers made it truly special. India showed real passion for Supercross, and I’m looking forward to being back. I’m super excited to make more memories in Season 2.”

Brendan Sipple, International Rider for Reise Motosports, echoed the excitement: “From the fans to the tracks, everything about Season 1 was world-class. The energy, the teams, and the entire vibe were electric. I feel lucky to have raced in India, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Season 2. ISRL is creating something amazing here.”

Season 1 featured some of the biggest names in global motocross, including Jordi Tixier (World Champion MX2, 2014), Matt Moss (9-time Australian MX & SX Champion), Thomas Ramette, Hugo Manzato, and many more. From Australia to France and Thailand to South Africa, the talent was unmatched. Indian champions like Rugved Barguje, Ikshan Shanbhag, Prajwal Vishwanth, Sarthak Chavan, and Shlok Ghorpade raced shoulder-to-shoulder with global pros, making history on tracks designed to world-class standards.

The rider registration process covers four competitive categories:

450cc International Riders

250cc International Riders

250cc India-Asia Mix

85cc Junior Class

Interested riders can register now to be part of the mega auction, where teams will build their dream squads for the 2025 season. Please note, registration does not guarantee participation—it is the first step in joining the official rider pool for team selection during the auction process.

ISRL’s inaugural season set new benchmarks for motorsport events in India with a physical attendance of over 30,000 and a viewership of 11.5Mn in just 3 days of broadcast, establishing a new global record for a Supercross event.

Team BigRock Motorsports, led by India’s Dakar pioneer CS Santosh, emerged as champions, setting a high standard for competition. The first season successfully demonstrated India’s appetite for world-class Supercross action and laid a strong foundation for the sport’s growth.

CEAT ISRL Rider Auction Scheduled for October 2024

PUNE: The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) is roaring back to life as it officially closes rider registrations for its highly anticipated rider auction for Season 2. After the overwhelming success of its inaugural season, the league is set to break new ground, attracting an impressive 145 riders from around the world, all eager to compete in one of the most electrifying motorsports events globally.

The response has been nothing short of extraordinary, with athletes from the USA, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and India joining the fray. There has been a notable increase in the registration of Indian-origin riders compared to Season 1, highlighting how more and more domestic athletes view the ISRL as a premier platform to showcase their skills and compete on an international level. With a roster that combines seasoned champions and promising new talent, the CEAT ISRL is rapidly establishing itself as a leading force in the world of Supercross racing.

Our goal is to elevate the sport further and deliver a season that is bigger, bolder, and faster, captivating fans around the world.”

Season 2 will see the return of fan favorites like 9x Australian Champion – Matt Moss, Reid Taylor, MxON World Champion – Jordi Tixier, and Asia Motocross Champion – Thanarat Penjan. New faces, including AMA Pro Motocross Champion – Mike Alessi, French Supercross Champion – Greg Aranda, French Motocross Champion – Maxime Desprey, and Australian Motocross Champion – Luke Clout, will also join the league, bringing fresh energy and competition.
Matt Moss, 9x Australian Champion said, “Season 1 was a fantastic experience for me, both on and off the track. Traveling to India was a cultural shock, but in the best possible way—the people were amazing, and the hospitality was second to none. The racing itself was competitive and enjoyable. As we head into Season 2, I’m confident that any small issues from the first season will be ironed out, making it even better. I’m especially excited to see the increased competition with more riders from the USA, France, and Australia joining in. I can’t wait to get back out there and see what Season 2 has in store!“

Mike Alessi, AMA Pro Motocross Champion said, “I’m thrilled to be heading to India for the CEAT ISRL. I watched Season 1, and I was really impressed with what I saw. I’m eager to come over this year, put on a great show for the fans, and just have an all-around amazing time. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!“

Rugved Barguje, 3x Indian Supercross Champion, said “Reflecting on Season 1 of the CEAT ISRL, it was beyond anything I expected—riding on a proper Supercross track in India was a dream come true. Despite battling a thumb injury, the adrenaline and excitement kept me pushing through the races. For Season 2, I’m fully recovered and in better shape, with my eyes set on securing a podium finish. It’s going to be an exciting season, and I can’t wait to get started.“

Jordi Tixier, MxON World Champion, said, “Season 1 was amazing; it exceeded all my expectations. The races, the championship, the track, and especially the people made it a memorable experience. Meeting the Indian fans was a true highlight. I’m super excited for Season 2—more races, more battles on the track, and the chance to meet even more fans. The upcoming auction should be really exciting, especially with new riders joining in. I’m looking forward to another great season and can’t wait to be back in India soon!“

As the league gears up for its second season, the much-anticipated rider auction, scheduled for October 2024, promises to be a game-changer.
India’s Auto Drivers Gear Up for the Montra Electric Super League

INDIA: Montra Electric, the cutting-edge EV brand from the esteemed 124-year-old Murugappa Group, is thrilled to run the Montra Electric Super League (MSL), a pioneering event tailored for auto drivers. Co-powered by Chola Finance, this groundbreaking initiative brings the excitement of the IPL to the streets with 10 dynamic teams, each comprising 17 dedicated Super Auto Riders.

The MSL is a high-octane competition featuring 10 teams, each comprising 17 exceptional auto drivers, aptly named ‘Super Riders’. This unique league aims to revolutionize the perception of electric vehicles (EVs) within the three-wheeler community, debunking common concerns like range anxiety, the MSL encourages participants to push the boundaries of EV capabilities, driving impressive distances with the help of top-up charging throughout the day.

This unique tournament features 170 Super Riders from across India, including women auto drivers, forming 10 teams that compete to cover the most kilometers. The team that logs the highest mileage emerges victorious, proving that EVs can effortlessly surpass 300 kilometers in a single day.

Roy Kurian, Business Head, of Montra Electric Last Mile Mobility said, “Through the Montra Electric Super League, we aim to demonstrate the extraordinary capabilities of our Super Autos and showcase our firm commitment to improving the lives of our Super Riders.”

Aman Sharma, President & Business Head – Vehicle Finance, from Chola Finance said “We are delighted to partner with Montra Electric in bringing forth this first-ever Super League Tournament for auto drivers. We are also happy to announce Chola’s Super Dream Children Education program to the finalists of the tournament. Chola is also actively working on innovative financing solutions for customers, to make the ownership of a Montra Electric Super Auto easier for them, which is also in line with our continuous endeavor to enable our customers to Enter a Better Life.”

Piyush Pandey, Head of Marketing, at Montra Electric, added, “We are excited to see our Super Riders embrace this challenge and feel the pride in what they are achieving. They have some extraordinary stories which need to be told”.

The scoring system of the MSL is designed to motivate and reward. Each kilometer driven by the top 14 riders of each team translates to one run, with additional runs awarded for referrals leading to deliveries or live bookings, and quality customer testimonial videos. Teams advance through a series of matches, with winners determined by total points and runs accumulated, leading to quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the grand finale.

Chola Finance, another distinguished member of the Murugappa Group, has pledged to provide free education for life to the children of up to 68 Super Riders who make it to the final stages of the tournament. This remarkable initiative underscores the tournament’s commitment to uplifting the lives of these hardworking individuals.

The Montra Electric Super League commenced on July 5th and will culminate in a grand finale in the first week of September. The victorious Super Riders will be honored at a special event at the Montra Electric factory in Chennai, where they will witness the manufacturing process of their extraordinary vehicle, Montra Electric Super Auto.

By offering substantial prize money and the transformative education initiative, the MSL is not only a thrilling competition but also a powerful catalyst for change within the auto driver community. Montra Electric is proud to lead the charge in promoting sustainable mobility and empowering the backbone of India’s transportation network. Montra Electric leads the charge toward a sustainable and electrifying future for India’s auto drivers.

MUMBAI:: The Race 2 of Round 4 of the 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship today witnessed the riders of IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team putting forward their effort and determination in the AP250 class race amidst the field of strong competitors at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia.

Starting from the 27th position on the grid, the 19-year-old Chennai’s riding prodigy, Kavin Quintal, showcased his racing prowess by securing the 18th position with a total time of 18:23.701. Despite the challenging circumstances and strong competition, Kavin managed to stay steady and avoided any crash. He advanced through the ranks and demonstrated his strategic riding skills throughout the race today.

His teammate, Mohsin Paramban from Mallapuram, started today’s race from 21st on the grid and finished at the 23rd position in Race 2 with a total time of 18:45.987. He displayed focus throughout the race. Despite facing intense competition and challenging race conditions, Mohsin navigated his way with determination and resilience. His calculated maneuvers helped him complete the race.

Unfortunately, both the riders could not secure any points for the team in this round. The IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team holds a cumulative total of 12 points across all four rounds of the 2024 Asia Road Racing Championship.

IDEMITSU Honda Racing India rider Kavin Quintal shared, “Today’s race was indeed challenging, but I gave it my all and managed to climb a few positions. Starting from 27th on the grid and finishing 18th amidst such strong competition was a tough task. Each race is a learning experience, and I am gaining valuable insights with every lap. Round 4 did not go as we had expected. However, I am determined to keep improving, fine-tuning my strategies, and aiming for better results in the upcoming rounds. The support from the team has been incredible, and I’m confident we will achieve greater milestones together.”

IDEMITSU Honda Racing India rider Mohsin Paramban commented, “It was a tough race with intense competition and challenging conditions, but I focused on maintaining a steady pace and completing the race. Starting from 21st and finishing 23rd was not what I aimed for, but each race brings its own set of lessons. We did not gain points today but the encouragement and support from the team kept us motivated. We are staying positive and working hard to come back stronger in the next round. The journey is as important as the destination, and we are committed to making continuous progress.”
