This initiative, with a total investment of INR 80 Lakhs, underscores HMIF’s commitment to strengthening emergency healthcare support and bolstering pre-hospital care in underserved regions of Maharashtra.</p>



<p>The ambulances were handed over in the esteemed presence of Shri Ajit Pawar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Dadaji Bhuse, Hon’ble Minister of School Education, Government of Maharashtra, Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Hon’ble Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Mr. Anna Bansode, Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and Mr. Gajanan Patil, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Pune. Representing HMIL were Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP &amp; Vertical Head &#8211; Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication &amp; Social, Hyundai Motor India Limited, and Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Domain Head &#8211; CSV, Hyundai Motor India Limited.</p>

Undertaken under our flagship healthcare program &#8211; Sparsh Sanjeevani, this initiative bridges critical healthcare gaps in rural and semi-urban areas, reflecting a strong embodiment of our global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity</em>’.”</p>



<p>Commenting on the initiative, <strong>Shri Ajit Pawar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra</strong>, said, “<em>This generous contribution from Hyundai Motor India Foundation will significantly enhance the accessibility and quality of emergency healthcare services in the state. These ALS ambulances will offer timely and advanced pre-hospital care, potentially saving countless lives</em>.”</p>



<p>Each ALS ambulance is outfitted with essential and advanced medical equipment, including electric and manual suction pumps, oxygen cylinders, adult and&nbsp;paediatric&nbsp;bag-mask ventilation devices, and ventilators. These mobile units are designed to address a wide range of emergencies – from trauma and chronic illness management to maternal and child health issues.</p>



<p>This initiative is part of HMIF’s flagship healthcare program &#8211; Sparsh Sanjeevani, which aims to bolster India’s public health infrastructure by extending quality healthcare services to remote and underserved communities across the nation.</p>

The delegation included UPU representatives Ihab Zaghloul, Juan Moroni, and Hashim Elhaj, along with Farrukh Raza from Islamic Finance Advisory and Assurance Services (IFAAS).</p>



<p>Dr. <strong>Sami Al-Suwailem</strong>, Acting Director General of IsDBI, warmly received the UPU delegation and expressed the Institute’s willingness to work together in developing innovative financial solutions that align with the needs of <strong>IsDB member countries (MCs)</strong>. The discussions centered on <strong>leveraging Islamic finance principles to enhance postal financial services</strong> and <strong>developing operational models</strong> that can serve customers in both <strong>urban and rural areas</strong>.</p>



<p>The UPU is keen to explore <strong>Islamic finance as a complementary business model</strong> for postal financial services, acknowledging its potential to <strong>enhance financial inclusion, diversify income avenues for postal operators, and provide ethical financial solutions</strong> to underserved populations. These aspirations align closely with the <strong>Digital Postal Islamic Financial Services Project</strong>, which aims to leverage <strong>postal networks and digital platforms</strong> to offer <strong>Shariah-compliant financial services</strong>, particularly in regions with limited access to traditional banking.</p>



<p>As a <strong>specialized agency of the United Nations</strong>, the <strong>Universal Postal Union (UPU)</strong> plays a key role in promoting international cooperation among postal operators and advancing the global postal sector in its <strong>192 Member Countries</strong>. The <strong>Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI)</strong>, the knowledge and innovation arm of the <strong>Islamic Development Bank (IsDB)</strong>, is committed to developing and promoting <strong>Islamic financial solutions</strong> that contribute to sustainable economic development in its <strong>57 Member Countries</strong>.<a></a></p>

<p><em>This welcome move from the RBI comes after the SEBI’s directive to allow a UPI-based block mechanism for funding secondary market trades in the capital market. Overall, the use cases for UPI are increasing. <p class="has-text-align-center" style="font-size:24px"><em>First Indian airline to provide additional customer support in seven Indian languages</em></p>



<p><strong>GURUGRAM: </strong>Air India, India’s leading global airline, has introduced seven new languages to its round-the-clock customer support services. Customers may now opt for service in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu in addition to the existing Hindi and English.</p>



<p>As a country, India has incredible linguistic diversity and several dialects spoken across the length and breadth of the country. By integrating these seven Indian languages, Air India aims to elevate customer experience and provide a more accessible experience for passengers who prefer to communicate in their native languages. The enhanced Indian language support reflects the airline’s vision of being a ‘global airline with an Indian heart’.</p>



<p>Air India’s IVR system will now automatically recognize the customer’s language preference based on the user&#8217;s mobile network, eliminating the need to manually choose a language, and thus reducing the response time.</p>



<p><em>“The introduction of multilingual support in Indian languages marks a significant milestone in our transformation journey. By integrating these Indian languages into our customer support services, we are not only expanding our reach but also strengthening the relationship with our customers, ensuring that every interaction with Air India feels familiar and inclusive,” </em>said <strong>Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer, Air India</strong></p>



<p>Recently, Air India has deployed five new contact centers, offering round-the-clock assistance to its customers worldwide with dedicated desks for premium and frequent flyers. Special assistance in Indian languages to Air India customers will be available from 0800 hrs to 2300 hrs IST, every day. In addition, the airline implemented a comprehensive back-office insourcing strategy to manage emails, social media, and chat support in-house which has significantly improved the quality and efficiency of customer support services.</p>
