INDIA: PVR INOX, India’s largest and most premium cinema exhibitor, continues to strengthen its alternate programming platform, PVR INOX LIVE ON STAGE, an initiative that brings music, poetry, storytelling, performances, conversations, and other forms of artistic expression into cinema spaces.

Conceived as a fan-first IP, it is designed to spotlight emerging and established talent, offering them meaningful visibility through immersive live experiences that help them engage with existing fans while reaching new audiences.

Leveraging the scale and immersive environment of PVR INOX, the platform aims to redefine how talent is discovered, experienced, and celebrated, creating shared cultural moments that bring diverse voices and audiences together. As cinemas evolve beyond traditional movie-going, the platform reflects PVR INOX’s vision of transforming cinema spaces into cultural destinations that inspire creativity, connection, and community engagement.

As part of this initiative, LIVE ON STAGE presents a special Pride Month celebration on June 17 featuring an exclusive live performance by Sushant Divgikr, also known as Rani KoHEnur. One of India’s most celebrated and trailblazing performers, Sushant has consistently broken barriers across music, performance, fashion, and LGBTQIA+ representation with fearless individuality and a powerful stage presence. Known for blending music, storytelling, glamour, humour, and emotion, their performances are both deeply personal and celebratory, making them a fitting choice to inaugurate Live on Stage. The Pride Month special at PVR INOX will celebrate identity, freedom, and community while offering an immersive fan experience that brings audiences closer to the artist.

In alignment with PVR INOX’s commitment to leveraging cultural platforms for social impact, proceeds from the performance will be directed to The Rani Fund, the programmatic arm of the Sandhuro Rani Bijli Trust, established by the Bijli family. The Rani Fund works at the intersection of storytelling, advocacy, and community partnerships to support marginalized women and children, using culture as a tool to build awareness, shift mindsets, and channel resources toward communities that need them most.

PUNE: Every artist dreams of showcasing their talent on a professional stage with all the necessary facilities, ensuring a rich experience for both the performer and the audience. However, experimental artists often face financial constraints, making it difficult to achieve this regularly. To address this challenge, Maharashtra Cultural Centre, in collaboration with Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash, has introduced ‘Stage Is All Yours,’ a special initiative that will provide experimental artists with access to the Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash at minimal charges. This initiative was announced by Maharashtra Cultural Center’s Secretary- Rajesh Deshmukh.

Sharing more details about the initiative, Deshmukh said, “Many artistic groups from Pune and beyond aim to perform in professional spaces. Their requirements vary depending on the type of art form, whether it’s a musical performance, dance, recitation, or visual arts. Financial limitations often pose a hurdle. With ‘Stage Is All Yours,’ we aim to support and encourage experimental artists by offering them an affordable platform at Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash, located at Tilak Road’s Hirabaug Chowk.”

The initiative has already received a positive response from experimental artists. A few performances are scheduled to take place in the coming month including the Kathak Institute, Nadarup, which will present ‘Choreography Kaleidoscope’ on October 21.

Alongside ‘Stage Is All Yours,’ Maharashtra Cultural Centre is also launching a literature-focused initiative called ‘Rasarth,’ which will feature discussions on literature, recitations, and artist interactions. It will be held on the third Friday of every month at Shriram Lagoo Rang Avakash and open to the public free of charge, with entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
