PUNE: Paranjape Schemes Construction Private Limited has released Chapter 3 of its Swaniketan film series, titled “A New Door Opens”, marking the conclusion of the three-part narrative that has unfolded over the past few weeks.

The series opened with a question that weighs heavily on many families of differently-abled individuals: What does the future look like for their loved ones in the years ahead? It then turned to the realities of daily caregiving, highlighting the responsibility, strength, and steady commitment that shape family life every single day.

With this final chapter, the journey comes full circle. “A New Door Opens” shifts the lens from uncertainty to reassurance. It captures not only the resilience of differently-abled individuals and their families, but also the confidence that comes from knowing there is an environment thoughtfully created to support long-term stability, dignity, and belonging.

Inspired by Swaniketan, a purpose-built residential community developed by Paranjape Special Projects, a focused division of Paranjape Schemes, the film reflects what inclusive living can look like when design begins with real human needs.

Now we are going further to start ‘Swaniketan’, housing for differently abled individuals and their families. So, to focus the operations of these projects which need a different approach, special attention, and care, we are starting this ‘Special Projects Division.”

“Swaniketan, India’s first path-breaking project is our latest offering under the Special Projects Division”, said Shashank Paranjape. Swaniketan are homes specially designed and developed to meet the needs of differently abled individuals and their families. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, and Down syndrome face a lot of day-to-day challenges along with their parents. Parents of such differently-abled individuals are embroiled in the worry of providing good education, positive development, and creating a safe and secure environment and independent living for their children. All these aspects have been considered while conceptualizing “Swaniketan’”.

Situated on the western end of Pune, ‘Swaniketan’ is a gated community within the well-known Forest Trails Township. Paranjape Schemes has joined hands with members of Forum for Autism and Saad, who have formed an association named ‘Tarangan’, which will look after the management and operations of ‘Swaniketan’. The project has been designed very carefully considering the requirements of differently abled individuals and their families, which will enable them to become more independent and in turn will give their parents a better-dignified lifestyle. This first ‘Swaniketan project will have 240 apartments with options like 2 and 3 BHK homes. Beyond homes, the community will have a vocational and therapy center along with premium amenities for the families to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle.

“Because of this project, it will be easier for parents like us to get all the facilities that our children would require under one roof. Paranjape Schemes is trustfully doing this project and we believe that they will provide all the facilities as per our needs. As parents, we will be at ease with this project with regards to the future of our children,” expressed Suchitra Thipse, who oversees the management of the ‘Swaniketan Project’ and who is also a parent of a differently abled child.

Paranjape Schemes started ‘Athashri’ in the year 2000 to address the housing needs of senior citizens. ‘Athashri’ today has twelve projects in Pune, one each in Vadodara and Bengaluru. Currently, over 4000 senior citizens are living in Athashri’s care.

Similarly, the concept of ’Aastha’ was introduced keeping in mind the requirement of people, especially the senior citizens who have health ailments and need assistance. ‘Aastha’ offers assisted living for senior citizens, who need services like nursing, catering, caregiving, and so on. ‘Aastha’ offers round-the-clock medical assistance along with providing entertainment, fitness, and catering services to ensure a holistic positive lifestyle for all their senior citizen members. Currently ‘Aastha’ has over 200 senior citizens at ‘Aastha by Athashri’ at Bavdhan and ‘Aastha’ at Baner Pashan Link Road.
