The studio’s work on Jubilee earned the Filmfare OTT Award for Best VFX (Series), while Delhi Safari won the National Award for Best Animated Film.

Across Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, philm CGI worked in close collaboration with B62 Studio’s core creative team from concept through to final delivery, with a clear focus on ensuring that the visual effects remained invisible. Taking a story-first approach, the studio prioritised authenticity and continuity, moving away from spectacle-driven treatment to deliver subtle, believable integrations that support the narrative.

One standout example is the ‘Lyari Set’, where scale and texture were central to storytelling. The studio extended and enhanced the environment through detailed world-building, set augmentation, and refined compositing, creating a dense, lived-in setting that feels authentic on screen while remaining imperceptible to the viewer. Much of this work had to align precisely with live-action plates, requiring frame-level accuracy to ensure the environment felt grounded and cohesive.

PUNE: In a captivating confluence of culinary art and media expertise, Lexicon Institute of Hotel Management (Lexicon IHM) and Lexicon Institute of Media & Animation (Lexicon IMA) proudly hosted an exclusive Food Styling & Food Photography workshop led by the distinguished Chef Michael Swamy.

Chef Swamy, a pioneer in food media, brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the workshop. Based in Mumbai, Chef Swamy is not only a renowned chef but also a food stylist, writer, and travel photographer. A graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, London, he has authored several acclaimed cookbooks, including The East Indian Kitchen, Easy Guide to Pairing Indian Food and Wine, and Masala Dabba. His exemplary work has earned him multiple Gourmand Awards, underscoring his contributions to the culinary arts and media.

True to its motto, “By the Hoteliers, For the Hoteliers,” Lexicon IHM aimed to bridge the gap between culinary practice and visual storytelling through this workshop. It provided a unique opportunity for students to delve into the creative and technical aspects of food presentation, honing skills essential for the modern hospitality industry. Integrating practical training with real-world applications, the event enhanced students’ ability to present culinary creations appealingly. Additionally, it provided valuable networking opportunities, allowing students to interact with an industry veteran and fellow peers, fostering connections that could be beneficial throughout their careers.

Lexicon IMA students were equally engaged, gaining hands-on experience in the intricate world of food photography. The workshop covered vital topics such as the importance of the right lighting, optimal camera angles, and meticulous food placement. Students learned how these elements are crucial in creating visually appealing and appetizing images, significantly influencing customer perceptions and enhancing marketing strategies.

Dipta Joshi, Principal, Lexicon IMA, emphasized, “While our goal is to build an institution that sets a standard for others to follow, our driving force remains the passion to be a part of a flourishing media and marketing world. The gallery is set to be opened on 3rd March 2024 at 11 am at Shreeram Lagoo Rang Avakash at the hands of distinguished artist Sudhir Patwardhan in the presence of Artist Jayant Joshi and Artist Sudhakar Chavhan as the chief guests of the opening ceremony.

Speaking about the initiative, Pramod Kale- Co-ordinator, of Pune Gallery for Visual Arts, said, “ Pune has a rich heritage of Visual Art, however there is no dedicated place for connoisseurs to visit and appreciate this art form created by art stalwarts. This was the thought behind setting up a permanent art gallery at MCC Hub which will house Visual Art by legendary artists of today and yesteryears”.

Rajesh Deshmukh- Secretary of the Maharashtra Cultural Centre said, “Maharashtra Cultural Centre is always looking at ways to promote art forms of varied kinds. For the display at Pune Gallery For Visual Art, we invited artists to submit one creation each to our gallery and we received an overwhelming response from all of them. We are trying to get copies of the Artwork of deceased artists whose original artwork is now not available”.

The Pune Gallery of Visual Arts will showcase paintings, sketches, photographs, and sculptures by renowned artists like Sudhir Patwardhan, Suhas Bahulkar, Bhaskar Hande, Jayant Joshi, Satish Paknikar, Milind Dhere, Sandesh Bhandare, Sudhakar Chavan and many more young and budding artists.
