The Government of India, Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) on 4th March, 2015, constituted a Task Force under the Chairmanship of Dr. H.R. Nagendra, Chancellor, S-Vyasa Yoga University, Bengaluru to deliberate on various important issues concerning the Ministry of AYUSH.The Committee Task Force consists of 20 expert members from different systems.
Under National AYUSH Mission (NAM), there is provision of co-location of AYUSH facilities at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs). The engagement of AYUSH Doctors / paramedics and their training is supported by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, while the support for AYUSH infrastructure, equipment / furniture and medicines are provided by Ministry of AYUSH under shared responsibilities.
