Pune: Meherzad Patel’s well-known English play ‘The Class Act’ which was performed on 1st December 2013 in Pune is back on Puneri People’s demand. The play has received immense success and appreciation and has completed its 100th show in India. The play is coming to Pune for a good cause, i.e., as a charity show for Light Of Life Trust.
The play is based in an acting class where students comes from different background and have conflicting views on almost everything turning into a big confusion in class. Exposing the myth ‘Unity in Diversity’ amongst Indian, where everyone is class apart, it’s exciting to see how everything is been pitched in the play.
Light Of Life Trust (LOLT) which is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which was established in 2002 with a vision to transform the lives of underprivileged. The organization believes that roots must be strengthened and nurtured in order to grow into healthy plants and the roots are the rural people of India. The organization is looking at nourishing these roots by educating them, creating a holistic community living in a conducive environment and providing health care so that they flower into healthy, wholesome and happy individuals. Their strong sense of belief in the cause helps them to stay dedicated to helping the underprivileged rural population. At present LOLT is running 3 projects for the betterment of the underprivileged.
The proceeds from the sale of tickets of the play will be donated to the trust. The play is been produced by Silly Point Productions. The play is written and directed by Meherzad Patel and the cast of the play are Danesh Irani, Sajeel Parakh, Max Fernandes, Vishwesh Krishnamurthy, Danesh Khambata, Maanvi Gagroo.
