Founder’s Journey: My journey started in early 2015 when I had visited Darjeeling for a family vacation. I was intrigued by roadside sellers who were serving momos. I had never tasted it before and it was love at first bite for me. Once back in Mumbai I searched for momos across the city and couldn’t find the same experience at all. I realized I had to do something about this.
And that was the genesis of the Momo house. What followed was extensive travels across North East India and Asia to learn more about momos or as the rest of the world calls it dumplings. I hired and worked closely with several momo karigars from the Northeast and Nepal who hand design the momos. For over 2 years we experimented and curated a menu that I can guarantee that no one else can offer. With 45 variants of momos and dimsums that could make jealous a 5-star restaurant, we started our humble journey with 1 restaurant in 2019 and today the count stands at 12. As shared by Varun Kapoor
