Clinical Psychologist and Hypnotherapist, Dr. Sangeeta Kamath to host an online workshop on how artistes can deal with the pandemic by adopting growth-promoting changes that will be beneficial in the longer run
India’s premier cultural institution, the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in collaboration with HSBC will be hosting a session with renowned Clinical Psychologist and Hypnotherapist, Dr. Sangeeta Kamath on ‘Managing psychological stress in times of COVID-19’ as a part of their initiative on ancillary skill development for the artiste community.
Considering the Covid-19 lockdown has disrupted the social, economic, and cultural realms of our everyday lives, it has impacted the artiste community more on account of no live performances. Supported by HSBC, Dr. Sangeeta Kamath will be conducting a session on how this challenging situation when looked from a rational viewpoint can help artistes deal with it more adaptively with developmental changes.
The live dialogue will address topics that will focus on dealing with psychological problems leading to psychological disorders such as depression and, in some adverse cases, substance use disorder. All of these are aimed at guiding the community to deal with stress effectively so as to bring back a balanced mindset for performers & creators alike.
