Pune: Third Graduation Ceremony of 2014-15 Batch of B.Tech students of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University was held on 2nd April 2016 at Sharad Arena (Auditorium).
Prof.(Dr.) Rajesh Jalnekar, Director, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune conferred B.Tech degree certificate to around 800 plus graduating students on behalf of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune and Savitribai Phule Pune University. Toppers from each Engineering Branch were given a Silver Medal by the auspicious hands of the Chief Guest Dr. Vishwas. B. Gaikawad, Director, BCUD, Savitribai Phule Pune University.
In his welcome speech, Dr. Rajesh Jalnekar emphasized the role of young graduates in nation building and their duty towards the society. He requested them to repay to the society in the best possible way. He also appealed to the graduating students to contribute in the areas of Research, Social, Cultural, Spiritual, Sports and theater apart from Engineering.
In his Chief Guest Address, Dr. Vishwas B. Gaikwad, Director, BCUD, Savitribai Phule Pune University, highlighted the current scenario of engineering education in the nation and the challenges in front of fresh graduates.
Shri B.B. Lohiya, who, presided over the ceremony, said that graduation is just a beginning and there would be many more challenges which you will face with courage and responsibility. He also appealed to the students to pursue higher education.
