Pune-based travel company, TraWork is hosting a first-of-its-kind online travel conference on August 8 & 9 which will have travel experts from across the globe
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the dynamics of many industries alike. And the travel industry is one which has taken a serious hit in the past couple of months. The travel scenario worldwide is definitely going to change, as people are still learning the idea of ‘new normal’.
There are many travel companies across the globe that are suffering huge losses, and moreover they are not able to decide what they must do during such times – try and stay afloat or pivot? From an established travel Company to aviation, from a tour guide to an AirBnB provider, the local businesses that depended on tourism, all are on a standstill, and without clarity. And not knowing what to do, the fear of the unknown is even more challenging. As much as anyone, we all are going through this with the hope that the future will hold something better and brighter. With this thought in mind, Pune-based travel company TraWork has curated a first-of-its-kind ‘Global Travel Meet’, an online event which invites
industry leaders and experts from across the world to speak and share insights on the future of travel and tourism. This event is conceptualized by Vandita Kedia Purohit, the founder of TraWork, who introduced the concept of work+travel through her unique startup a few years ago.
The online conference will be held on August 8 & 9, where travel industry experts will come together to discuss ‘How things would look like, How can we be more prepared, What are our options, how can we together help the travel and tourism industry, and more.
“The idea is to be better prepared, know more, be proactive and come together,” says Vandita.
The event has lined up top travel industry experts from India as well as other countries. From travel companies, travel startups, product companies, travel agencies, digital nomads, travel writers, bloggers, and vloggers, they will talk on various topics across two days and 20 sessions.
Some of the important speakers include Sheree M Mitchell, President & Founder, Immersa Global, Nubia Younge, Travel Strategist, and a Podcaster, David Abraham,
