Mumbai: The U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai in association with the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) will hold a University Fair in Pune on September 14, 2019. Students will have the opportunity to not only meet Indian alumni who have studied in the United States, but also learn about the university selection process, admissions-related exams, and how to apply for a U.S. student visa. The University Fair is free and open to the public. It will take place at the Taj Blue Diamond between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The University Fair will have representatives from over 15 diverse universities and colleges from across the United States. Among the institutions represented are Arizona State University, Ohio State University, and Rochester Institute of Technology amongst others.
U.S. Consulate General consular officers and EducationUSA advisers from USIEF will be on hand to deliver presentations and answer questions from students and parents on selecting a university and applying for a visa. These sessions will take place at the hotel between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. In addition, globally-recognized testing organizations will send representatives.
The U.S. currently has over 196,000 Indian students studying in the U.S., and it’s exciting to see many more young people who are interested in following in their footsteps. Studies in the U.S. offer young people a world class education, and a life-long relationship with the United States. At the fair Indian students and their parents can get the information they need to make the best decisions about their academic futures from alumni, EducationUSA advisers, and Consulate staff.
