The United Nations World Tourism Organisation has welcomed Travel Consul as a member of its Affiliate Membership Program during its recent General Assembly held in Medellin, Colombia.
Travel Consul is a fast growing international marketing communications alliance consisting of advertising, brand strategy, public relations, digital, media and marketing firms spread across the globe – all specialising in travel.
An official agency of the United Nations, UNWTO is the leading international organisation in the field of tourism.
It promotes tourism as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability and offers leadership and support to the sector in advancing knowledge and tourism policies worldwide.
UNWTO’s Affiliate Membership Program encourages active participation from global public and private sector entities who contribute expertise toward the organization’s goals.
“We are pleased to join UNWTO’s affiliate program and have the opportunity to share our expertise in marketing tourism globally,” said Amanda Hills, chief executive of Hills Balfour and partner of Travel Consul.
“We share the UNWTO’s vision to harness tourism as a driver for economic growth in addition to its goals that tourism requires local experts to truly make an impact.”
One in five UNWTO affiliate members is a global organisation with presence in all continents.
Travel Consul was created as a global alliance of local tourism marketing experts willing and able to work seamlessly as a single team.
Experts in 23 offices around the world are all able to provide research, integrated marketing solutions and comprehensive dashboard-based measurement designed specifically for travel and tourism brands.
By working with the Travel Consul network, clients receive global expertise, strategy and resources combined with local market execution.
