Mumbai: TIMES NOW, the No.1 English News Channel has lined up an exclusive show, #OpinionPoll2016 for the forthcoming elections. Set to be aired today from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the channel will prove its mettle in the news broadcasting space with its signature pre-poll analysis. #OpinionPoll2016 will position TIMES NOW as a leader redefining election coverage once again.
Five Indian states Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Pondicherry will go for Assembly polls between 4th April and 16th May. The counting for these votes will begin on 19th May, 2016. All the 5 states are non-BJP-ruled states with regional parties holding sway in 3 of them. The other 2 of them, Assam and Kerala, have Congress at the helm.
The forthcoming elections in all these states are viewed as a test for BJP to make its mark in the unfamiliar territories where traditionally they never had a big support base. Coming after its recent drubbing in Bihar the elections to these assemblies are very important for BJP. Similarly for the opposition it’s very important to hold their grounds in total of 824 Assembly constituencies which will be covered with the participation of over 16.98 crore registered voters over a month.
Arnab Goswami, President, News and Editor-in-Chief of TIMES NOW and ET NOW, will host the special show. He will be joined by a panel of eminent experts. This opinion poll is conducted by C Voter in partnership with India TV and by interviewing 42,036 randomly selected respondents in these states
Will the opinion polls give an idea which way the wind is blowing? Can Jayalalithaa and Mamata Banerjee rewrite history by retaining their position as CM? Can BJP pull a victory in Assam? Will Congress lose its Kerala citadel?
To know answers of the above questions, tune into TIMES NOW on 1st April, 2016 i.e. today at 7pm
