Pune – Bharatiya Kala Prasarini Sabha had conducted one day workshop for the students of Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya.
AKM is run by Prasarini Sabha. Students of Tilak Road and Pashan Branch had attended the workshop along with their teachers. Shyam Sharma, President, National Gallery Of Modern Art, New Delhi, Author and artist Subhash Pawar and artist Professor Vilas Chormale were participated in the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by traditional lamp lightning and paying tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Bhalchandra Mohaniraj Pathak, Secretary, Bharatiya Kala Prasarini and the former Indian cricket captain Ajit Wadekar. The organiser and Secretary of Prasarini Sabha, Pushkaraj Bhalchandra Pathak gave a welcome speech. He said, “The aim of organising workshops on Practical Knowledge is to help students to acquire professional and practical skills which is very much important in today’s life”. He also said, “We are very proud of our students that they get an opportunity to show their drawing skills in various Govt. campeignings. Our mission is to make Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya India’s top ranked university”. Speaking as the chief guest Shyam Sharma said that our country is the land of arts and crafts. In ancient India, various art forms like paintings, architecture and sculpture evolved. Arts Students should understand our original forms of art. He also advised students to learn outside the classroom and try to be with nature to develop their skill as the nature is the best teacher. The workshop ended with the portrait demonstration given by Professor Chormale. The event hosted by Ravindra Khare and Rohini Gore.
