Xiaomi introduced MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop in August this year with the launch of the Redmi Note 2. The brand released the beta version of the new OS over the air in August. Now the company has announced that it will start rolling out the stable and final build of the MIUI 7 to compatible devices starting October 27th.
As per the brand, the Mi 3, Redmi 1s, Redmi Note, Redmi 2, Mi 4i, Mi 4, and the Mi Pad will be getting the Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7 update starting next week. The update comes with new themes, an XXL text size, improved battery life, and performance optimisations. As per the company, the MIUI 7 update has a built-in data saver, interactive visual response, Showtime, and new operational modes.
Xiaomi claims that the MIUI 7 update with Android Lollipop is 30 percent faster and consumes 25 percent less battery than MIUI 6. The brand has partnered with Opera Max and launched dedicated data servers, which will save up to 50 percent data charges.
