Pune: Sanskar Bharati Pune Mahanagar is organising a unique dance program titled ‘Moksha – a journey towards solitude’ on the occasion of first international Yoga Day on coming Sunday, 21st June between 9am to 12pm at Balgandharva Rangmandir located on Junglee Maharaj Road in the city. Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar will be guest of honour for this program.
Yoga is the confluence of body, mind and spirit. Its origin lies in the meeting point of an eternal element that lies within and beyond the human body. Since dance is not a mere technique of body movements but also the union of mind and soul. In classical dance, body and mind work in unison to express the thoughts and emotions and therefore classical dance is also Yoga. ‘Moksha’ is an effort to understand and project this concept through the all encompassing art form Dance.
This program will be held under the guidance of pandit vijay koparkar – President Sanskar Bharati Pune Mahanagar, Guru Sucheta Chapekar – Vice President Pashchim Pranta and able leadership of Sarang Kulkarni – Secretary and Milinda Bhole – Mantri Sanghatan, Sankar Bharati.
