Piyush Mishra an actor, lyricist, playwright, musician, and screenwriter along with his musical band ‘Ballimaaraan’ is all set to enthrall the Pune audience as a part of his India tour. ‘Ballimaaraan’ the band pays musical homage to the doyen of Urdu poetry, Mirza Ghalib. The name of course is inspired by the lanes in Delhi where the legend once lived. However, the essence of Ghalib’s erstwhile gully is now being taken to every corner through sold-out shows through Piyush Mishra’s band, Ballimaaraan.
Known for his soul-piercing voice and strong lyrics, his music is equally melodious and beautiful. His renditions of Aarambh hai Prachanda, Ik Bagal Mein Chand Hoga, and Husna are sure to tug at the heartstrings of our audience. His band includes himself as the lead singer; Nishant Agarwal as a guitarist; Jayant Patnaik as a percussionist, Lubhanu Priy on keyboards, Shreyas Iyengar on drums, Shirish Daniel Malhotra who juggles between saxophone, flute & violin along with Shovon Mukherjee on bass with Rahul backing the vocals.
