NASHIK: Nilakshi Lohi, a homemaker and passionate wildlife photographer from Nashik, has been crowned as the Runner-Up at the Elite Mrs. Earth Ecosphere 2023 pageant held in Okada, Manila, Philippines. She emerged as the winner of the Mrs. West India 2022-Silver category at the Mrs. West India-Empress of West India 2022-Season 4 by DIVA Pageants held last year in Pune.
Nilakshi, who is a native of Amravati, credits her success to DIVA Pageants, one of the most reputed and safe platforms for married ladies to showcase their strengths and achieve what others may think is not possible. She also thanks her husband, Shyam Lohi, who has been her pillar of strength, and her mentors, Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas, who are the brain and the heart behind DIVA Pageants, for their constant encouragement and guidance.
The pageant had 45 contestants who were judged by a panel of 15 jury members on the basis of various rounds like National costume, Eco wear, Fitness wear, Resort wear, and Evening Gown. The top 6 in each category were further judged in a Q&A Round.
Nilakshi, who is intensely passionate about photography, believes it is the only universal language understood everywhere in the world. As a wildlife photographer, she loves to capture birds and nature. Her passion for photography led her to become a fitness freak, and she credits this to her husband, who has been her backbone.
Nilakshi’s journey is summed up with her favorite motto: Strength is how you shut down the voice in your head that says “I Can’t”.
