PUNE: In an attempt to provide a platform to the new generation of artists from the world of Indian Classical Music, city-based Indi Musicons and Rohan Builders have joined hands to undertake an initiative titled ‘Rise’. The second program under this initiative shall take place on Friday, June 21st at 7:00 pm. Entry to this program is free and it will be held at Seva Bhavan Auditorium, Near Bhalekar Matsyagandha Restaurant, Patwardhan Baug – Erandwane, Pune.
Meher Parlikar, an ITC Sangeet Research Academy Scholar and disciple of Pt Ajoy Chakrabarti will present the traditional Abhang during this program. It will also have a flute recital by Anurag Joshi, a disciple of Pandit Milind Date. The main artists would be accompanied by Ramkrishna Karambelkar (Tabla), Prathamesh Taralkar (Pakhawaj), Atharva Kulkarni (Harmonium ), Suhas Paralikar.(Taal) and Geet Inamdar (Tabla).
