MUMBAI: Some of cricket’s biggest stars will be lighting up the latest edition of the Global T20 Canada League, from July 25 to August 11. Australia’s David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, and Chris Lynn; West Indies’ Sunil Narine, Craig Brathwaite, and Kyle Mayers, Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurban, Azmatullah Omarzai, Naveen-ul-Haq are some of the players who have signed up to play cricket in the North.

GT20 Canada is in its fourth edition and has managed to carve out a space for itself given the high quality of competition. The best of associate players also get to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in the game. Canada also made its debut in the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, showcasing the impact that the league has had on the game in the country.

This year promises to be one of the most exciting considering the players that have signed up for the league. Vancouver Knights, Toronto Nationals, Bangla Tigers Mississauga, Montreal Tigers, Brampton Wolves, and Surrey Jaguars are the six teams that will be competing and each team has some stars in their team. While Warner & Tye will be appearing for Brampton, Romario Shepherd, and van der Dussen will be playing for Toronto Nationals.

Stoinis and Narine will be in the Surrey Jaguars line-up, while Shakib and Gurbaz will be appearing for the Bangla Tigers. Montreal Tigers boast of Chris Lynn and Naveen-ul-Haq. In more exciting news for Indian fans, the timings of the games will be 8:30 PM and 1:30 AM. The league phase will go on till August 6, while playoffs are scheduled for August 9 before the final on August 11.

FanCode will be exclusively live-streaming all the matches on the platform. Besides the first day, doubled headers are scheduled for the 10 league match days. A total of 25 matches will be played, including the final.
