PUNE: The Lions Club of Pune Sarasbaug Charitable Trust proudly announces the inauguration of ‘Nav Taz Dham’, a state-of-the-art Senior Care Centre dedicated to providing a fulfilling and secure environment for elderly citizens. The facility, built with a generous ₹4.5 crore donation from Rukhsana Meher Anklesaria and Past District Governor Meher Anklesaria, spans 16,426 sq.ft. across two floors in Ambi, Taluka Maval, Pune. It offers comfortable accommodation, medical care, and various social and wellness activities to ensure a dignified and engaging lifestyle for its residents.
The announcement was made at a press conference by Lions Club of Pune Sarasbaug Charitable Trust Chairman- Lion Fatehchand Ranka, along with ‘Nav Taz Dham’, Project Chairman- Lion Prashant Kothadiya, Project Vice President- Lion Asha Oswal, Club President- Lion Chaitali Patni, and key representatives from the Caring Hands Foundation, including Secretary Ambadas Chavan and Vice President Sudhir Naik, who has generously donated the land for the project.
The grand inauguration ceremony will take place on Sunday, 9th February 2025, at 10:00 am at the hands of Ajit Pawar – Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra & Sunetra Ajit Pawar, along with Murlidhar Mohol – Minister for Civil Aviation & Cooperation, Madhuri Misal- Minister for Urban Development, Shrirang Barne- Member of Parliament, and Sunil Shelke- Member of Legislative Assembly.
‘Nav Taz Dham’ addresses the growing need for quality senior care as many elderly individuals face loneliness due to their children relocating to work. The center ensures a holistic environment with modern medical tie-ups, 24/7 hot water, wellness programs, yoga, cultural celebrations, and social activities. Residents can engage in gardening, music, art, and community service while receiving professional healthcare support. A portion of the fees collected will support underprivileged children’s education and welfare, reinforcing the trust’s commitment to social responsibility.
