PUNE: In the run-up to the Ganesh Festival, Indi Heritage and Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch are jointly organizing a ‘Master Class’ lecture on the Ganesh Idol. The special session will be delivered by Dr. G. B. Deglurkar, world-renowned iconography (Murti Shastra) expert and former Chancellor of Deccan College, Pune.
The lecture will take place on Saturday, August 23, at 10:00 am at the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), Law College Road.
Organizers said the initiative aims to provide deeper insights into the cultural, spiritual, and artistic significance of Ganesh idols as devotees prepare for the much-awaited festival.
Entry is free of charge, but seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
