PUNE: Paytm (One 97 Communications Ltd.), has partnered with Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) and the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to launch Mobile QR Ticketing for metro commuters across Pune and Nagpur.
With this, passengers can now book metro tickets directly on the Paytm app and receive a QR code for entry at stations. This removes the need for physical tokens and helps reduce waiting time at stations, making travel faster and more convenient. The initiative is expected to benefit over 3 lakh commuters daily across both cities.
Paytm spokesperson said, “This partnership is a meaningful step toward simplifying everyday travel for metro commuters in Pune and Nagpur. With Mobile QR Ticketing, users can access their tickets instantly on the Paytm app, making the entire journey, from booking to entry, faster and more convenient.”
