Axis Bank becomes the first Bank to inaugurate its rural branch in Warale

PUNE: Axis Bank, one of India’s largest private sector banks, inaugurated its rural branch in Warale, Pune. The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest – Mr. Sharad Butte Patil – Ex. Chairperson, Pune Zilla Parishad & District Planning Committee Member, Pune and Mr. Dattatray Mandekar, Ex.-Sarpanch, Ambethan in the presence of Axis Bank representatives – Mr. Srusti Ranjan Nanda, Circle Head – Pune, Mr. Anant Vishwasrao Choudhary, Cluster Head – Pimpri, Mr. Nilesh Mahajan, Circle Manager – Bharat Banking, Mr. Suraj Channapatnam, Branch Head, Warale.

The new branch is located on the Ground Floor, Shop No. 11 & 12, C-Building, Roshan One, Warale, Chakan, Pune.

With the launch of this new branch, Axis Bank has become the first Bank within the public and private sectors to cater to this under-served region. Through this branch, Axis Bank will aid growth & development in the West region by providing easy access to funds through a comprehensive suite of asset products such as gold loans, agri-loans, farm equipment loans, kisan credit cards, personal loans, home loans, vehicle loans, working capital loans, term loans, etc., and also provide deposit products such as savings accounts, current accounts, and fixed deposits to the people in the region.

Speaking on the branch inauguration, Munish Sharda, Group Executive and Head – Bharat Banking, Axis Bank said, ‘’Rural and semi-urban markets are a key focus area for Axis Bank, and we are keen to aid growth in these markets, in alignment with the government’s mission of financial inclusion. With this new branch, we will be able to provide a bouquet of financial services that will meet the growing demand of customers in this region. Currently, the Bank has overall 2265+ branches located in the semi-urban and rural markets, and we will continue bolstering our presence through new branches across the country in line with our Dil Se Open philosophy that we are always open and listening to our customers.”

To reach out to the vast customer base in the region, Axis Bank will conduct various activities such as referral drives, GST drives, leaflet distribution, participation in regional exhibitions, competitions, etc. The Bank will also organize a loan carnival and other regional activities in ‘Mandi’ as part of its awareness initiative.
