PUNE: The 11th edition of Gaanasaraswati Mahotsav commenced at Mahalaxmi Lawns, Karve Nagar, near Rajaram Bridge, Pune. This three-day, four-session festival, running from February 7 to 9, 2025, is organized by Natyasampada Pratishthan in tribute to Gaanasaraswati Padma Vibhushan Kishori Amonkar and her profound contribution to Indian classical music.

The festival’s inaugural evening opened with a vocal performance by Devashree Navghare-Bhide, a disciple of Manjiri Asanare-Kelkar from the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. She started her recital with Rag Gauri.
She was accompanied by Pranav Gurav on Tabla, Leeladhar Chakradeo on Harmonium, and Sur Gokhale on Tanpura

The second session started with a Sarod performance by renowned Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumdar. He presented Raag: Chhayanat. He was accompanied by Pt. Satyajeet Talwalkar on Tabla.

The festival drew the presence of some of the most revered figures in the classical music fraternity, including Pt. Taalyogi Suresh Talwalkar, Ustad Pt. Shujaat Khan and Kalapini Komkali
