Immerse in the enthralling Tabla experience at Anubhuti Sangeet Sabha

PUNE: Punekars can enjoy solo Tabla performances by four Tabla players during a two-day special program ‘Anubhuti Sangeet Sabha’, which is jointly organized by Anup Joshi’s ‘Tabla and Beyond Music Institute’ and Pradnya Deo’s ‘Nirvikalpa’ Music Institute.

The two-day musical program will be held on Saturday, March 25, and Sunday, March 26 at the Shakuntala Jagganath Shetty auditorium in Erandwane from 6 PM onwards. Entry to the program is free on a first come first serve basis, while a few seats are reserved for the invitees.

On Saturday, March 25, the musical program will begin with the solo Tabla recital by Anuraag Alurkar, a disciple of Anup Joshi. It will be followed by another solo Tabla recital by renowned young Tabla player Ojas Adhiya. Ojas has accompanied many Indian Classical stalwarts in many big music festivals and is popular among the youth.

On Sunday, March 26, the program will begin with a solo Tabla recital by Amrut Bapat, a senior disciple of Ustad Allarakha. It will be followed by a solo Tabla recital by Anubrata Chatterjee, who belongs to the Farukhabad Gharana. Anubrata is the son of world-renowned Tabla-maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. He was the youngest and the last “Ganda-Bandh” disciple of Padmabhushan Jnan Prakash Ghosh. He has accompanied many legendary artists in the Indian Classical music fraternity.

Milind Kulkarni, Kalpataru Thakare, and Upendra Sahastrabuddhe will accompany the Tabla players on Harmonium. The program will be anchored by Mangesh Waghmare.
