MUMBAI: NueGo, a trailblazer in India’s inter-city bus travel, has announced the launch of a dedicated helpline number exclusively designed for women passengers. The initiative is part of NueGo’s efforts to make bus travel safer and more comfortable for women commuters. Apart from the dedicated helpline number, NueGo has launched several other initiatives to make women passengers’ journeys safe, comfortable, and accessible. These include advanced safety features such as CCTV surveillance, GPS live tracking, driver breath analyzer tests, and more. The brand’s well-trained staff and driver monitoring systems ensure a secure and pleasant travel experience.
NueGo has also introduced a special program called WoW (Women on Wheels) for women passengers, offering a discount of 15% on tickets across all routes. This offer can be redeemed on NueGo’s website & app, and OTA channels, including Redbus, Paytm, and Via.
According to data from redBus, while the industry average for women travellers in inter-city buses stands at 24%, NueGo has outpaced this with a 28%. This statistic not only highlights NueGo as a preferred mode of transport for women but also reflects the trust and safety associated with the brand.
In May this year, NueGo had received ‘Asia Book of Records’ as well as ‘India Book of Records’ for launching India’s First all-women inter-city bus from Delhi to Agra, where all passengers as well as the staff of the bus were all women.
