Tarasha Artisan Direct brings together a show which showcases arts and crafts that are rare and exquisite and much deserving of a platform to showcase for artisans from the nooks and crannies of India. This comes as an initiative to support these artists to be able to become financially sustainable post-pandemic.

The show will have artisans from Kashmir to Karnataka, Kerala, and the North East to Kutch each showcasing their culture and skill in the form of their arts and crafts.

One will find Kasuti – a rare, languishing embroidery from Dharwad in Karnataka and Lambadi from Tamil Nadu are excellent forms of traditional crafts on garments. As for those interested in architecture, and interior design – there will be several interestingly designed and curated accessories like leather lamps, temples for the home, rugs, etc. The key focus is to employ design to bring about a shift in the traditional perception that by and large surrounds India’s crafts and craftspeople.

Additionally, there will also be a ‘Design Showcase’ area featuring fruits of the collaboration between artisans and designers and workshops and performances offering a window into the mesmerizing world of the handcrafted!
