COEP Tech University has an alumni base of more than 45,000 alumni working across the globe. Many of them are keen to actively participate in the institution’s progression to the next level. US-based alumni like Narendra Kale, Ashish Achlerkar, and Rohan Kelkar among others have time and again expressed willingness to extend significant support to the University. Apart from developing various facilities at the University, we are also exploring other aspects with the alumni including the transfer of knowledge for the students, raising grants for their research, and seeking internship opportunities to gain industry experience,” Dr Chaudhari added.

KPMG, a world-class consulting organization, based on primary and secondary research of the COEP Tech University has submitted a diagnostics report along with recommendations for transformation. Based on this report certain areas have been prioritized for implementation. This includes enriching the experience of the students @ COEP, developing a multidisciplinary approach, and improving the necessary infrastructure facilities for imparting high-quality engineering education. Emphasis will also be on leveraging collaborations with industry partners that will benefit students, promote entrepreneurship development, innovation, and research, and harness digital technology in the university curriculum, informed Dr. Chaudhari.

Dr Chaudhari expressed satisfaction with the funded projects received by the University in the last few days. Some of the projects received are significant to nation-building.

Elaborating on the progress of the partnership with Gokhale Institute of Political Science and Economics, Dr. Bhirud said, “Under this partnership, Professors of Gokhale Institute of Political Science and Economics are conducting Engineering Economics classes in COEP Tech University. A total of 179 students from different streams of engineering have enrolled for the same. This includes 82 students from Computer Engineering, 31 from Electrical Engineering, 48 from Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and 18 from the Instrumentation & Control Engineering department. Understanding the importance of the subject, students have responded positively to this course.

Affirming that the university is taking a progressive step forward in the field of public policy while implementing the new education policy.  Dr. Chaudhari said, “To prevent the misuse of artificial intelligence in the future it is important to impart knowledge about public policy to the students of engineering. To serve this purpose, we are signing an MoU with the city-based Flame University. Under this MoU experts from Flame University will teach subjects related to public policies to COEP Tech engineering students. On the other hand, expert faculty from COEP will impart the knowledge of the latest technology, e.g. AI & ML to the students of Flame University.”
