INDIA: Cornitos, India’s leading nachos brand, proudly marked World Environment Day by partnering with multiple NGOs for a series of tree plantation drives, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The drives took place on June 5, 2024, across various locations in Delhi NCR, engaging numerous volunteers and local communities.
In collaboration with Say Trees, Cornitos organized a plantation drive at Government Sarvodaya School, Matiala Village. In Faridabad, they teamed up with Save Aravali for another tree plantation drive in the Faridabad Forest. Additionally, Cornitos partnered with the Thinkgood Foundation under the campaign Mission 100 Crore Trees for a plantation drive in Noida. Tree plantation activity is also done at Roorkee Greendot Health Foods Factory Premises.
A series of plantation drives were organized across multiple locations, resulting in the successful planting of approximately 300 saplings. These drives aimed to enhance green cover and promote environmental sustainability. The initiative garnered enthusiastic participation from over 60 Cornitos employees and local community members. The volunteers worked together, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement. The success of these drives highlights the power of collaborative community action in addressing ecological challenges.

As part of its long-term sustainability goals, Cornitos has made significant strides by installing a solar plant at its Roorkee manufacturing unit, reducing its carbon footprint by shifting to renewable energy. Additionally, the company employs a water recycling system to treat and reuse water in the production process, conserving this valuable resource. Adhering to the Extended Producers Responsibility guidelines set by the Central Pollution Control Board of India, Cornitos is committed to sustainable practices and resource conservation.
