HYDERABAD: BioAsia, the annual flagship event of the Government of Telangana, has announced Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) as the International Regional Partner for the 21st edition of the marquee healthcare and life sciences event. Flanders’ Lifesciences & Health sector is one of the focus sectors for the region, and it stands first within the European Union for clinical trial procedure speed and biotech market capitalization.
The partnership between Flanders and BioAsia/Telangana aims to create an environment that nurtures innovation and accelerates the development of breakthrough technologies. The exchange of knowledge and facilitating collaborative research initiatives, joint projects, and knowledge-sharing platforms will contribute to the growth of the respective life sciences sectors and position Telangana and Flanders as global leaders in scientific research and innovation.
FIT will bring a key delegation of senior officials from Flanders and participate in multiple B2B, G2B, and other meetings during BioAsia 2024. The partnership has already taken multiple actions to promote trade tie-ups between both regions, including forming a task force with members including industry, academia, and government from both sides to discuss and implement the partnership.
The partnership will open avenues for collaborative investments, joint ventures, and the establishment of research and development centers. By pooling resources and expertise, both regions can amplify their impact and contribute to global advancements in healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.
