MUMBAI: The Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangha will honor Dr. Dhananjay Datar, CMD of Adil Group of Supermarkets, UAE, with the prestigious Marathi Yashwant Puraskar award. The award ceremony is scheduled on 27th October 2023 at Girgaon, Mumbai. Dr. Datar will be conferred with this award at the hands of Achala Joshi, President, of Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangha. The program will take place in Dr. A. N. Bhalerao Auditorium at 5 p.m.
Dr. Datar will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest of the 88th Annual Day of Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh. He will also share his experiences and success story in the program. The Marathi Yashwant Puraskar award constitutes a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a certificate of honor.
Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangha, established in 1935, is a renowned organization active in the fields of Marathi language, Culture, Literature, and Drama. Every year, it honors a veteran and successful personality from the Marathi global community with the Marathi Yashwant Puraskar Award. Many renowned personalities such as Vijaya Mehta, Dr. Madhav Chitale, Subhash Dandekar, Yashwant Deo, and Dr. Anil Kakodkar have been honored with this award in the past.
